Whatever happened to IMAGINATION?

Why does everyone act like the choices didn't make a difference in the universe?
Why are you all incapable of accepting that the ending is open-ended, and try to force BW to give clarify absolutely every little thing that happened?
What do you people want, exactly?.
You people have no idea how spoiled we are, being able to see everything that happens in the game in high-quality cutscenes with phenomenal voice acting. And you complain about the little bits of sideplot that happen from the EMS screen? What ever happened to imagination? What ever happened to enjoying open-ended adventures and coming up with your own stories? No other series has given players such opportunity to create their own universe, and you whine that your every action isn't given a unique cutscene?
Bah, I'm probably wasting my time. If you did get all this stuff, you'd whine about railroading and that YOUR Shepard would never blink like he did in that cutscene. Hell, you morons actually managed to whine your way into getting an ending where Shepard derps and chooses at the last second not to save the universe. And then you get mad at the fact that refusing to do the one thing the plot says you have to do makes you lose the game. Unbelievable.

Dead, Overlord of the Universe, or Alive.
Why do you need a reunion cutscene?

Although I can see what you're getting at....
We don't need to play the damn game either. Bioware's ambiguity isn't 'artistic' it's just annoying.
This is a video game, they should show things, not write things or delate content so we can 'imagine' it.
Thanks to fans outrage other developers will know that people don't tolerate that sh*t and it won't become popular.
Prometheus did the same and many people hate it for that, hope that'll be a good lesson to movie industry, too.
And no, I don't hate the endings, I love destroy ending, but leaving 'breath scene' the same as it was pre-ec was very dumb and annoying. Also Priority:Earth still sux balls. What, am I supposed to imagine there are millions of people fighting or rushing to the beam when I see like 40 soldiers tops?

Exactly. If they had told I needed to use my imagination to fix the story because BioWare was too lazy to be bothered, I would've left ME3 on the shelf and imagined the whole thing. Would've produced a far better main plot as well, that's for sure.

The thing is, with so many hours spend with Shepard and gang and so many experiences and choices we've stressed over, to have the game cut out like that feels hollow and half-baked.
I'm not advocating for Reunion DLC but at this point, anything would be an improvement to what we got. The Extended Cut was not enough. Not even close, and what's worse, it managed to introduce even more head scratching plot points/holes.
The narrative in ME3 is broken. Easy as that. The intro is almost as bad as the ending, and much of the core narrative is just... bad. It's non-sensical and lazy.
Asking us to use our imagination to fill in the holes in the narrative is just insulting.

There have been conflicting statements from Bioware on Shepard's status after Destroy. Epler says "could be" dead, Ackland says alive. We're supposed to decide for ourselves.crimzontearz wrote...

I've tried to sway those who have a bad opinion on the game to see it how I see it...but it's a lost cause.
Everyone has their own opinions.
I can't make them like it...just like they can't make me hate it.
I came to a point where now, whenever I see hate on these forums...which is basically everywhere...I just simply think, sucks to be you. I got to enjoy a great trilogy while you obviously did not.
It sounds selfish...but really...I just don't care.
The amount of hate thrown into every single thread where the topic doesn't even ask for the opinions given...is so absurd that it's not even worth replying to or caring about these people.
Unfortunately...starting a thread like this only gives them another place to show their hate for the game. You won't change their opinions.

I don't. I think there are two types of players: those for whom it's more important that the ending doesn't ruin the future they imagined, and those who want to be told in detail what happened.Yate wrote...

Personally, I'm more in the first group. I don't want a re-union scene because I have my own vision of that and it is its own story. I see the appeal of, say, an iconic image of Shepard and the LI embracing on a battlefield full of debris but with the fighting done, but I can see why the ME3 team didn't make one.
Edit:
However, I think that more of the major war assets should've been shown. I expected a kind of SM-like scenario where you had to put armies and fleets into certain roles which would affect the outcome. A lost opportunity if you ask me, the final mission was a big disappointment.

I would be in no position of demanding anything if the original product was finished. But it wasn't.
The ending was sold as the "final trip of your character". We had an Asimov (or Deus ex) twin brother-ending, with no explanation, no choices, and nothing matters.
What could I want?
An option to beat enemy without space magic.
An option to interrupt starkid using renegade/paragon points
An explanation of how the hell catalyst is unable to activate citadel relay but is capable to run the elevator
An explanation of Haestrom subplot. Can be used for point one.
If possible, an explanation of how Sheppard sees the catalyst (aka, you are not crazy), even if is "your conciousness has been uploaded"
What the hell means to shoot tube, touch painfull rays or jump into a giant beam (hey, if you use previous point is easy, you are in a Virtual Reality when you meet starkid)
I could go on, but probably no one cares...
You know OP, I care because I used to like the series. I want, resuming, a decent ending. The game is not worthy of the value. So, I'am a costumer that wants a fix (not even the return of my money) to an unfinished product.
Epilogues were fine, but still insuficient.
And, of course, I know I have had some mispellings, but I'm not english xD

Before the EC I was in their boat. I'm satisfied with it now though. Are there problems with the narrative? With autodialogue? Hell yes. But it's not worth staying THAT worked up about for months on end.CDR David Shepard wrote...
