What does the human Reaper have to do with "a gritty series about war and sacrifice"?

Oh, yeah, it's made up of the pureed bits of hundreds of thousands of human colonists.

Yeah, it looked stupid, and shouldn't have been used as a final boss.  But overall ME2 gave us an ending that felt like an ending, and I didnt' feel like a war criminal at the end.

But in the end it was used to validate the choices the catalyst provides you, it was used to conclude the story overall.

Which is part of the problems with the ending. ME1 had us fight Reaper controlled Geth, the Reapers themselves can still be called Hybrids because their cores are the organics that they harvested

Which makes the endings pretty black and white, either BW failed to tell their story, or the endings do not fit with the story.

For me the ending is, was and apparently will be forever broken.

What we got doesnt fit the rest of the story. Its still like it was designed for a whole other setting than what was actually there in the first 2,9 games.

And I certainly didnt pay Bioware to tell me, that i need to use my imagination... like i dont pay for a good Book, only to write the last 10 Pages of it myself.

Well i suppose the Mass Effect trilogy (one of the games i had played a loooong time, forgot the count of my playthrougs) will most certainly rot in my Steam library/Origin account forever, because i dont feel any urge to play them again. But why should Bioware care, they already got my money... Im curious if they pull off something with mass effect 4 to redeem themselves...

The ending does fit with the rest of the game. Destroy, control, and even synthesis have been hinted at through the entire saga, the only ending that doesn't fit is refusal. The story ends where it needed to end, any more would have ruined the open-ended atmosphere of the series.

Go ahead and hate BioWare if makes you feel better, just stay out of these forums.

How about you continue to have your opinion, Yate (which is your right); and respect that others can have theirs (which is their equally valid right)?
 
Why not try to show some common human decency and respect other people's perspective, rather than insulting or trying to censor them because they do not accept your utterly subjective vision?

I am ashamed for you (and frankly I didn't have to use my imagination to get to that point).

People who don't want to imagine their ending are the ones who want something they completely go against.People will have the same ending.If you had anymore cutscenes people would still complain saying this "OMG,man.We all have the same ending!".Open-ended even though it is not great it has a reason to be there.Also,people on here want that chick-flick ending.I would prefer this ending over a chick-flick ending any day.
Something you can't do on a forum is bring common sense to an arguement.

I can use my imagination OP.

I have imagined that;

1. I didn't get a half-finished game filled with problems enough to fill a train.
2. That the endings (pre-EC) were so bad that it hurt to try and wrap my head around something that made absolutely *no* sense and therefore never happened.
3. That even post-EC the endings were still mind bogglingly bad still, but they had pretty slides, and they still didn't happen.
4. That Shepard finally destroyed the Reapers, but not after great sacrifices on the parts of all the races, that the galaxy is at peace from the Reapers once and for all, and all without three pretty colors...
