I watched the heavy rain game on youtube and what was very good is that you could choose your characters thoughts and decide in which emotionl state you character were in.

Im not saying do this all the time but at least a few key moments

Because even if the character is hard as a rock it might be more going on under that surface.

what do you think

Sounds incredibly incredibly hard to do, and DA is not heavy rain.

I think it’s an interesting idea, i haven’t played heavy rain but would love for Bioware to implement something like this.

I don't know, there is a difference between the 2 games.

This is hard to explain, but I'll do my best:

Heavy Rain treats the player like 3rd person, someone who is watching what is happening to the PC. So the player isn't the pc, is a 3rd party.

In Dragon Age, the PC is you! The game treats you like you're the PC. So your thoughts are the thoughts of the PC.

This is just an example of what im thinking of

that if your character is completley alone in some point a conversation wheel will appear, and as everything each dialouge displayes the characters thoughts.

^This.

Your character's thoughts are suppose to be your thoughts. If it doesn't affect the game, why should your character's thoughts be shown? No NPC's gonna read your mind and react to it. Nothing will change from just thinking about it. If simply for roleplaying purposes, you should be able to do that on your own.

Also, Heavy Rain? The Interactive Movie game? Let's not make the DA series any closer to that, thank you very much.

The olny thing i'd wish they take from that is solely for party banter the have the three emotos pop up and pick one to set the mood for they reply in so in instances kind of a mood interrupt thingy.

Not necessary, your thoughts are your characters thoughts. If I am pissed off at Anders for blowing things up Hawke is too, then I make Hawke scold Anders (oh come on I can't kill him)
