My volus Engineer is a killer machine, i've got 150K with it and 2 killstreaks in a row, the only thing is learn how to use it properly.

Haven't tried the Adept yet but I can't see how you SHOULD top a scoreboard as a volus engineer. He is meant to be supporting the more damaging characters and making things go smoothly, not being the tip of the spear. Recon Mine is powerful and useful, but the long cooldown prevents you from healing the squad if you use it regularly. I guess some people have weapons like the Harrier X which could potentially make ANY class capable of topping scoreboards, especially if playing with less-experienced players.

I tend to roll (no pun intended!) with a Hurricane II and Acolyte V. I can destroy shields and barriers (further augmenting my support capacity) and use the Hurricane to make things die a little quicker. That nets me a 200% CD with ULM, so I can Shield Boost almost constantly. It's pretty hard for anyone to fall with this set-up, making the waves easy as pie. But, useful as this little guy is, I rarely top 40,000 points with him when playing in this way.

He's small, hard to hit, has two debuffs and an healing ability. Pretty beastly set-up. Though, I've stopped using them; They're just too disrespectfully-ugly llooll. I 'hate' 'em, but I love to see players who 'own' with him. Careful with the new look, you might blind some people if the light hits you at the wrong angle.

Yes with some occaisional proxy. I forget what gun he used but he demolished everything before most of us could lay a finger on the trigger.

I topped the score several times with my volus engineer on gold.
The most top score I got with him was 14k.
Have a pic of it on my phone, but don't know how to upload it

Pretty easy to top the scoreboard with a Volus Engineer, especially against Reapers/Collectors.

No idea about the Volus Adept though, never tried him.

 The difference b/n my score with my other characters (e.g. a Justicar, AV, HE) and the Volus is 80k points. In the sense that I get 80k less with the Volus.  Oh god, why can't I play him?!

My Volus Engineer does pretty well with an AT-Raider cloaking and headshotting, + Recon Mind splosions.

What I really want to see/try is a Volus Adept on a team with lots of biotic primers and watch the biotic explosions fly.

We did a 4 volus engineer gold match. A volus "topped"
the charts. I think it was the green one.

if you where to palce 4 Recons mines on top of each other does there movement de-buff stack? would it just stop enemies dead in there track like the great wall?

They were moving super, super slow, we had all the recon mines stacked.  It's a hilarious
way to get through a match.  Some of the objectives were tough, but we were unlucky.  Get
a fun group together, you'll die laughing.

Oh yes, and a volus will top the chart.  Probably the green one.

They really need to do something about green, it's outrageous.

I haven't used the Volus much, but I think the best I got from him was 75k in a gold pug, and 90+% of that was due to near-endless firing of the Hurricane since I was shield boosting in enemy faces most the time. I basically played him like a close-range tiny-tank that nibbles at ur shields/health and should probably lay off the intergalactic hostess pies; prob not the best way to go about it, but it worked for me.
