if mass effect 4  is  a  sequel and not a prequel do you think that  we will see shepard Son/Daughter  in this new mass effect game

Probably not, considering their recent statement seems to contradict this.

Please no. That would be tacky.

That would only work if they canonized Destroy or with Male Shep.

Kinda defeats the whole purpose of 'Radically Different Ending Scenarios' the writers were building on when developing ME3

Kinda hard with gay Shepard, and who knows Turians/drell work for procreation? :)

No. My Shep is with Garrus, and I doubt she could have kids anyway after being dead (because the female body does have a finite number of eggs). Unless it was invitro or something similar.

Actually, scratch that. I witnessed space magic via a glowing Starbrat. Anything is possible.

Hmm.  Garrus+Shepard = Mutants....in Spaaaaace!  Not sure that this particular concept will lure in the coveted "new players" demographic.

It "could" work if the game was made like DA: Origins...but I think too many variables would be needed for the import save file.

That being said...you could have it where the main character could be multiple races with multiple upbringing backgrounds...just like DA: Origins...and you get different dialog depending on your race.

You could have the core race characters...each with their own different backgrounds...or you could use the "genetic code" from your import file.

This "genetic code" only triggers if you have certain flags on your save file.

For instance...
You get it if you're a male shep who romanced the female characters...and they all survived.
You get it if you're a female shep who romanced Liara and she survived.

If you romanced a human character...you obviously get the choice of a human girl/boy with the "descendent" background.

If you romanced Liara...you get an Asari with the "descendent" background.

It doesn't have to be anything game breaking...it could just be in the dialog and how people treat you...just like in Dragon Age Origins...how people always show respect towards a human noble...but not a dalish elf.

Oh great, playing as Shepard and Tali/Garrus' mutant lovechild

Is adoption an option?

Hardly. In fact, there are pretty few romance options where a child is actually possible. There are Ashley, Jack, Kelly and Liara for male Shepard and only Kaidan and Liara for FemShep.

Did I miss one?

Given the biowares tendency for a human protagonist with VA i find it unlikely that a there will be a non human protagonist due to the sheer amount of lines necessary for voice acting. However a companion of the protagonist could make sense if shep romanced Liara. If liara non romanced the char could still be liaras daughter only with someone else as the dad.

I had a gay romance with Kaidan. I don't think that would work on my end. Unless they somehow last minute adopted a kid. But then, what race would he/she be?

If BW goes on with a sequel, despite the difficulties, that takes into account our previous choices, i rather have shepard herself as the main character

Sucks then if you romanced Miranda. Or Tali. Or Garrus. Or Thane. Or Jacob. Or Traynor. Or Cortez. Or Kaidan (m/m)...

Really, Liara, Ashley, Kaidan (m/f), Kelly and Allers (OH JOHN RINGO NO) are the only paths to this.

I doubt they will tought on anything related to shepard. They probably will do like they do on HQs and novels, talk about him in a way you can't even know if he is male or female.

What about Jack? Did I miss something about her?

You should count out Allers though. There is not really a romance with her.

I've never romanced anyone, how exactly my shepard would possibly even have a child? So no, OP, this not an option

Sucks for y'all who didn't get you partners preggers. MAXIMUM Shepard never misses. Little Jaxson Anderson Shepard better stay not talk back to Jack or his Reaper father will show up for a whoopin.

I had a lesbian FemShep with Traynor, and they're talking about settling down with a white picked fence and two children. Woulda been rather humoruos if they had their adopted mini-Volus running around... :)

Blah, I certainly hope not.

Although I could live with something like this:

A humourous cameo I could see working, but not anything more than that.
