Why can't they do this crap in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping? I get an hour free this afternoon and of course it's when Origin decides to do server maintenance. I know it's been said numerous times, but I've had Steam since it started and have never had issues like this. Plenty of hours of Team Fortress 2 with no disconnects. Mass Effect 3 MP, probably get a disconnect 1/10 times.

Uh, they had a "faulty" server. So they were forced to do server maintenance.

Valid point. It's always dark somewhere. Guess Origin cares more for the people on the other side of the planet from me.

Also I'm just venting and don't really care. Server maintenance or faulty server or everyone went out to lunch doesn't matter. Either way it's down. I know it happens and oh well. Guess I'll try to play the game I paid for later when it's all fixed.

Thanks for the heads up, at least I know to avoid playing the game for a while until the gremlins have been dealt with. I wonder is this anything to do with EA tinkering with their servers ahead of the MOH Warfighter release? Server space is finite after all.

All I wanted to do today was play some Dragon Age 2, and now that seems to be an impossibility due to Origin sync-failing preventing the game from launching. =_=

Is there a way around this?  I don't mind if the data doesn't sync as I should just be able to use the local data next time and get everything in the same place at that time.  But it won't let me start the game if I cancel the sync operation...

You can try turning off cloud sync for all games. Settings > general tab.
