Origin Won't Connect

So i was going to log on and play some mp today but when I tried to launch Origin the first time it came back with a "unknown error". After restarting it I was finally able to login however Origin won't connect to any online servers. This has nothing to do with any in game connection it is Origin itself doing it to me.

Not sure if its just bioware took something down for maintenance or its just broken but if anyone knows whats up with it I would appreciate a comment.

U r not alone... Two of my friends r just having the same problem. I'm in the game right now, but origin doesn't want to show me my profile or do anything else.

I got the same thing, I was mid game and got the "lost connection to servers" message (again). Been silent ever since. Was there mainetance sceduled that I missed?

Same here. Unable to connect, 'Go Online' has no effect.

Same here, I was logged on, then nothing, I try to click go online but nothing happens when I do.

Same thing here, except I was in a match I'd joined in Wave 5. Then "You have lost your connection to the game", and Origin indicated I was offline. I had to dump ME3, and kill Origin. Since I am writing this, and I was reading e-mail afterwards for a few, it doesn't appear to be my connection.

Now, when I attempt to start Origin, the login screen has a red banner at the top saying:

"An unknown error has occurred. Please restart Origin and try again. "

Of course, restarting Origin and trying again does bupkis.

Thank you, EA. I used to love you guys. Now I am completely boggled by your DRM 'solution' that ensures that the only ones caught by your DRM measures and prevented from playing the games, are your actual paid customers.

Another day, another origin fail. Isn't it great how we give our money to someone and they reward us by treating us as criminals and preventing us from using a product that we purchased legally?

Seriously, die and rot in a shallow grave, origin.
