i bought the dragon age bundle from gamestop a while back. it came with origins ultimate and da2. i downloaded them both. took forever btw, origins took three freaking tries, was corrupted twice. took days. finally got them both and tried to play. hated 2, couldnt figure how to even move and kept getting killed at the very start cuz i had no idea how to attack. havent tried to play it since. origins was slightly better, i figured out how to move, i think i know how to attack, when it works. got thru the castle adventure, made it to the outpost thing. played for a few hours, i think i have 12 or so into it. kept getting killed in the wilds.....knowing how to attack would really come in handy. so i took a break. read up on the game a bit and today decided to give it another try. the goddamned thing wont load my saved game. tells me i have to buy premium content in order to load my own freaking game. i will never waste another penny on bioware or ea again. i have 83 games installed on my computer, i have been gaming since my family bought pong when i was 13. i have never seen crap like this in my 52 years of living. how can my game decide i have to spend more money in order to play.
now it wont load my games

I'm sorry you are having difficulty. You're older than I am, but I've been gaming longer (Colossal Cave Adventure ftw!).
If you would like help, please post what exactly you are doing and what the error message is. You may want to contact EA support, they have been very helpful to me in the past with a similar issue.

pong came 3 years before cca, heck before that i was playing war games and minis, my gaming career is around 43 years. but i digress. dragon age origins, when i start it, i choose "resume" a little window pops up saying in order to continue to play my game, i have to "own premium content" and shows a list of crap i can buy.

it will let me start a new game though, so all those hours will be lost. also i have tried to contact ea and their famously crappy support team has yet to respond

Drat, you are right. Oh well!
It may be that starting afresh is your best option.
Here is a good guide for combat. You may want to bookmark the site. The Dragon Age wiki is an excellent resource for questions. Greywardens also has a decent guide. Between the two you should have almost any possible question answered.
If you are on a computer, then you should check to make sure that all your DLC is enabled. Open up the appropriate screen make sure all the boxes are checked. Click 'Downloadable Content' on the load screen, it's on the bottom right. You may need to be connected to the Internet for this to work. You may also need to log into Bioware. Click on the box on the bottom left that says 'log in' and follow the instructions.
If you are using a console, I can't help.
Hopefully the above will get you back into the game. On the computer the key I use the most is the spacebar. It pauses everything except cutscenes.
This forum is great for PC tech questions.
These are the ones for xbox, playstation and Mac.

the game harrasing you about premium content in your save games normaly means the dragon age service isnt started. I actualy have to start it manual for i start the game up.
its under the following: right click on 'my computer', select manage and go to services.
her you see a dragonage entry, probably not started. right click on it and choose start.
for the game itself,
you realy have to be carefull how many baddies you pull in one go.
Keep it to a few and you'll be fine.
Also try to stand near corners, so that when you get peppered by archers, you move around the corner and your out of line of sight.
