I've only just recently been able to confidently tackle Bronze solo and expect to get through, heck, getting to pizza delivery Wave 10 on Rio vs Reapers with my Lvl 8 Fury really did it for me, and Cerberus are really only an issue if you get a Hack or Disable on Wave 10 and just get mobbed by Dragoons, they at the least keep you occupied while a certain female enemy quietly polishes the sword she's about to introduce to your insides if not killing you outright.
My other bad wave 10 (after that Rio attempt, lvl 12 Fury this time) - Goddess/Collectors got disable devices Wave 10 - first one was under the stairs in the left had end hallway...right next to the spawn point for ALL THE THINGS...just got mobbed. Nearly had it done twice before getting mounted by possessed abominations 
That being said, Lone Wolf will be a ways off for me, even if I can do the Silver solo's, I still don't wanna think about Gold *shudder* - let alone the insane (ly gifted??) people who do the solo platinum runs.
I watched a video of a guy soloing gold, Giant, Reapers with a Fury. He used a scoped Carnifex and it was obvious he didn't spec AF at all. As a result, probably maxed Fitness. The strategy was simply to DC/Throw from a distance and use the scoped Carnifex for headshots, all the while doing a circular run of the map, dispatching the mooks before dealing with the harder stuff. He went down maybe two or three times, IIRC. If you're used to using AF and getting right in the enemy's face, this is a totally different way of doing it. For extraction, he, of course, didn't camp the LZ (it's amazing how many people take the "Get to the extraction zone" command literally, get swarmed and fail extraction), and just kited with the same circular strategy, ending up against the wall on the right side of the extraction zone, and, with a few seconds left on the clock, simply teleported through the wall - safe extraction. I don't remember all of the objectives, but I believe they were pizza deliveries, with assassination on Wave 10, where he just pulled out his RL and killed the targets as quickly as possible. Obviously, a hack objective would be near impossible for a lone Fury.
I've done silver solos using this strategy, without spec'ing out of AF, though. When I do gold, I'll spec out of AF and go full Fitness because a lone Fury on gold will have trouble staying alive using a CQC strategy. I'm sure there are players who can do it, but I don't think I could.
