The headshot damage bonus on disruptor ammo does that only apply to an active shield and synthetics but not health?

Is the ammo capacity upgrade ever worth taking? Does that increase clip size or just reserve ammo? What weapons benefit?

Does the explosion bonus on incendiary ammo make guns like Avenger good on insanity? I want an all Avenger playthrough.

the headshot damage is an added multiplier on top of standard headshot bonus damage and applies as long as the ammo is active

the ammo capacity upgrage adds 30% more reserve ammo and it applies to every gun while the ammo type is active

i dunno sry never used explosion upgrade

I don't know the answers to those questions, but seeing as you're asking I'll ask too. I'd like to know which rank 6 evolution is better for AP and Warp ammo.

12.5% Health and Armor Damage vs. 25% Armor Weakening, which will do the most overall damage when dealing with armored targets?

(it's probably an easy question, but I'm not really a numbers guy)

The Explosive Burst evolution on Incendiary Ammo should make the Avenger better, since it should explode often enough for it to make a difference. I have not used the Avenger extensively since my first playthrough so I really do not know. Sorry.

weirdnerd answered your other questions.

Sorry ZombieGambit, I do not really know. Just taking a guess, Armor Weakening may be better since it should reduce the damage reduction of armor, but maybe it depends on the weapon used. Personally I think both Warp Ammo and AP Ammo are not worth using in Single Player but I have seen others disagree.

Regarding the Explosive burst: While i haven't used the Avenger much with it, Phaeston and Geth Pulse Rifle become awesome with it. The Avenger doesn't shoot quite as fast, but I think it will be good.

It depends on the damage per shot of the weapon.

I don't remember the break even point, I calculated it a while back.  It might be in a post somewhere as well as AP vs Warp.  For most rapid fire AR's and SMGs you are better with armor piercing or armor weakening evolutions, but with pistols or snipers you are better with the damage.  If you were also running a Piercing mod on an AR, you might get away with the damage evolution (since you already have some armor piercing from the mod).
