Because Shepard is a badass our everyday Gold / Platinum battles are just Bronze / Silver for him. :)

I wish my Liara killed stuff.

Give her a Bloodpack Punisher SMG! And use her powers for Biotic combinations. All her abilities (in particular Statis) have very short cooldowns compared to multiplayer. I used her Warp or Statis combined with Shepard's Reave a lot.

I'm having fun with a explosive fire ammo phirrana with a double pull charge vanguard.

The explosive burst evolution of the Incendiary Ammo power makes every gun viable. It can even turn a M-8 Avenger into a accurate, low recoil and deadly version of the Striker Assault Rifle.

SP is a joke, you can cruise through insanity without thinking. All my adeptShep does BE after BE, things don't get near him.

What I quite like doing in single-player, lately, is to set up my powers at the very beginning of the mission, and then only use those three for the entire duration, like a multi-player character.

Sadly, I'm missing Stasis, because it didn't occur to me to speak to Liara again after confronting Javik, and Reave, because Kaidan never survives. Which means I can't set Shepard up as my beloved asari or drell adepts.

Warp, Pull and Throw just has to do. Pull, Warp and Cluster Grenades for the drell. Could replace Reave with Dominate, though. That'd be an idea.

I feel you.

Back when the Extended Cut came out, it was like night and day when I went back to single player. I'd had the game on easy because I'm a puss, and I was laughing out loud doing the end run again on that after all the mulitplayer.

Once the trilogy comes to PS3 in about two weeks (yay for not having to play ME1 on my laptop anymore!), I'm gonna go insanity all the way through the series for the first time. Aw yeah! Image IPB

Which is why I did Insanity well before I ever played MP. That way I could smile as I struggled against the stupid Harvesters and Banshees. That bloody last stand on Earth was rough.

But yes after playing MP Insanity has toned down a bit as you learn what kills things fastest. That and the DLC weapons it got make things just plain old cheep. Where were the days of rocking Insanity with a Avenger I and Predator I from start to finish?

Good point about the DLC weapons, Frog. Harrier made Leviathan an LOLFest.

I just hope, reeeaaaallly really hope we get Annihilation Field as a bonus power come the Omega DLC.

The time my biotic characters can use that sweet power, you can kiss the galaxy's combined forces goodbye, my Shepard will solo the Reapers all damn day with AF!!!

All I can really say to AF being in SP is this.

CHAAAAAAAAARRRRGEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

When they updated Singularity/Fire/Cryo explosions, did they change in the single-player as well?

nope liara got old singularity but I can pretty much spam fire explosion using incendiary ammo and concussive shot with ammo effect. and that's if anything survive the barrage from single player version of the adrenaline rush + typhon.

The SP campaign seems to have Bronze number of enemies at Gold level damage/health.

Shepard is just crazy OP though. On my Infiltrator run through Insanity, I stopped using Tactical Cloak because the Valiant V would oneshot unshielded and twoshot shielded enemies with or without the Cloak...

It is annoying not having the consumables though. There were a few times I really wished for an Ops Pack or a Rocket.

Recently started playing SP again to do a femshep ME1-ME3 playthrough (Jennifer Hale does an awesome job, btw.).

I lol'd at the Atlas in Surkesh. Poor thing didn't even get down the stares, before Shep took it down. Tech/fire 'splosions everywhere!

I only play multiplayer after I knew Shepard died in the end.

Sheppy can die in the end.
The difference is, it's two valid good endings and one bad one, and the low EMS ones - rather than just one nonstandard game over. Plus, it makes sense, rather than simply "lol im not gonna shimmeh up diz ledge"

But yeah, Shepard is overpowered as all get out. Plus the henchmen are underpowered and require constant micromanagement to kill things, unlike even the PUGgiest of PUGs.

@Tali's comment about civilians in Leviathan: "Hey, I'm a civilian, and I could take both you and Garrus in a Reaper troop sharpshooter contest!"

@Kaidan freaking out about one Banshee: "Damn thing's half-dead already, man up Alenko."

i tried vanguard on ME2 briefly and died v quickly. so i didnt do a playthrough. Didnt do it on me3 either, waited a while before trying vanguard on the MP. Then i did a playthrough of ME3 sp using vanguard. Being able to freeze the gameplay using hte power or weapon wheel makes it ridiculously easy, and being able to roll out of the way makes it FAR easier to play than ME2.

I might try importing an ME3 into a 2nd play and trying it on insanity.

I played through all three with an infiltrator after playing MP for a while and was really surprised at how easy SP on insanity seemed. I brushed it off, as infiltrator has always been my fav class; I figured I was just getting better with it (I always play insanity anyway). This time around, playing all 3 games, I started as a Vanguard (more like an Adept than the Adept is in ME1), and switched to Adept in ME2, and I was really not sure how I was going to do with a biotic class. But I'm in the middle of ME2, and so far it's going well. I think ME3 MP just gave me a better understanding of the biotic and tech powers (I really didn't know about warp bursts in ME2 before ME3), how to better sync my squad mates' powers and skills to my own, and of course, lots of on-your-toes, in your face combat training. I must say all 3 games are a much better experience now, even if the combat is a little easier.

It's a pity this multiplayers difficulty levels couldn't be more like ME2's. Rather than more bosses with significantly higher healths we would have enemies with more defences like layers of armour and shields to whittle away before it's health time.

I also with the enemy health bar from ME2 would return. I hate the block one they have now.
And I prefer the way the powers work... rather than armour weakening its simply knocks it away cleanly....

Those were my biggest pet-peeves with ME3. Image IPB

Tried SP for the extended cut when it came out.

So many Black Widow shots were missed due to time distortion. <_<

Lol, inorite?

I once accidently hit the the power screen and was flabbergasped "WTF? Why is my game pausing? No, nonono, NO CRASH!!!! - Oh ... right, powerscreen ... Image IPB" *presses key again and resumes playing*

In my defence, that was after about two months of MP only.

If I remember right, ME1 wouldn't let you do Insanity without first doing the difficulties below it.  If that still holds true, I'm in the same boat of suckage since I was considering doing an Insanity run through all three games on my 360 soon.  (Think I only did Normal on ME1 and never did a second playthrough due to the tedium.)

Singleplayer insanity was way easy even before playing Multiplayer. If you want a challenge. Go play insanity in ME2.. Or if you're feeling suicidal.. Play ME1 insanity without a NG+.

Ugh, I know ME1 tedium. I lost count of how many playthroughs I did to get level 60. (And I was too stupid to go for the squadmate ally achievements on top of that -_-)

ME3 insanity is, by far, the easiest Insanity in the series.
