I'm back, with another (to be abandoned) Let's Play! This time, the game I'll be failing at is Jagged Alliance 2.

Jagged Alliance 2 is a tactical role-playing game for PC, released in 1999 for Windows, and later ported to Linux by Tribsoft. It is the third game in the Jagged Alliance series, and was followed by the expansion "Unfinished Business" in 2000.

The game received positive scores from reviewers. It was praised for its non-linear gameplay, freedom of action, memorable characters and tactical gameplay.

You can find a copy of Jagged Alliance 2 on Good Old Games, here.

The Heroes of BioWare Social:

Here, we meet our heroes for this journey.

Fast Jimmy, Squad Leader. Status: Alive.
"Jimmy" is intelligent, wise, charismatic and knows how to communicate his ideas. Jimmy is always going off, giving people an education they might not ask for, but one they often need. Although he is relatively skilled in the art of combat, his forte is in leading the team forward, as well as singing uplifting and inspiring lyrics.

Johnnie Walker, Bombardier. Status: Alive.
When not ****** off to cars, "Vette" is the team's resident Heavy Weapons expert. An outgoing woman, her personality draws people close to her. Which is just as well, because her specialities lie in blowing up people who aren't. Just make sure cockroaches aren't around, they cause her to lose her sh*t.

Celrath, Engineer. Status: Killed in Action.
When it comes to tech, "Cel" knows how to make sh*t work. A borderline genius, he will ensure that the team never has to deal with a locked electronic door, or a piece of equipment that doesn't work.

KloieKat, Sniper. Status: Alive.
"Kloie" is the team's resident sniper and ninja. She loves to lurk un-noticed and catch people by surprise. Has the incredible ability to hit targets with pinpoint precision within seconds of posting. She does have somewhat of a random personality though, and may forget what she's supposed to be doing.

Billy The Squid, Ranger. Status: Alive.
The toughest member of the team, "Billy" is physically fit, assertive and provides the team both grunt and reconnaissance. His ability to scout out threads for people to combat is a useful one and one the team will constantly utilise. Especially since he will be fighting from the front.

ThePinkFoxx, All-Rounder. Status: Alive.
"Foxx" wears a number of different hats, or costumes depending on the situation. Capable of playing a variety of roles to a high level. Always looking at the bright side of life, her sunny disposition never fails to lighten the mood. The only thing that could bring her down is the awful Western Australian weather, which might explain why she was so eager to join the troop. That, and Jimmy's promise of Sword Art Online merchandise.

Volus Warlord, Machinegunner. Status: Alive.
Trolling is Volus Warlord's specialty. He's not particular about how he trolls as long as he has fun doing it. Volus may not be considered a flamer, but he does exhibit a certain fascination with riling up feminists and seems to handle them with ease. The same could be said for his talents at agitating BioWare sycophants. Volus is working on improving his people skills.

Dave of Canada, All-Rounder. Status: Alive.
Dave of Canada may be a little rough around the edges, but he is extremely sharp with tongue and keyboard in hand. He acquired most of his skills praising and defending Dragon Age 2. Yet, Dave seems to have found his calling with the Blood Brotherhood, where he has honed his hatred to exquisite perfection.

RedArmyShogun, Demolitions Technician. Status: Alive.
This mad, rambling man is from the old school of flame wars, where trolls would fly by you in pieces as you moved up the ranks. Shogun is a survivor. With many years of experience, he takes pride in showing those prissy nerds a thing or two about flaming.

randumb vanguard, All-Rounder. Status: Alive.
Randumb vanguard has moved through the ranks of the BSN quicker than any other poster and is now firmly established as a seasoned forumite. Randybum's attitude continues to be exemplary, making him one our of most popular posters.

The Minority, Paramedic. Status: Alive.
Fresh out of fake medical school, The Minority eagerly awaits his first assignment. His innocent and youthful smile may prevent potential employers from taking him seriously, but rest assured: once he starts "losing" patients due to "malpractice", he'll be shown the kind of respect he deserves.

MASSEFFECTfanforlife101, Scout. Status: Alive.
ME Fan may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, or the most reasonable one. But he can be counted on for his loyalty and his scouting abilities. His intense emotion when it comes to the BSN and BioWare's game can be both a positive and a negative. Loyalists and BSNers alike ought to be wary if they set him off the wrong way.

Kallianira, Doctor. Status: Killed In Action.
A kind hearted and gentle soul, "Kallia" dislikes the brutality of combat. Preferring only to defend herself if necessary, she acts as the team's medic, ensuring that the other BSNers are always in good health and in good company. Tragically gunned down in the first battle of the Inquisition board.

Background Story:

"The beloved BSN was a BioWarian colony until 2008, when it was granted servitude by Electronic Arts, who installed the loyal Priestly conglomerate as monarch. This forum structure had been considered a unique Moderatoric Monarchy. Although the forum was run as a kingdom, ruled by a King and Queen, free elections were held every AAA release to re-assert their legitimacy.

Within a year of Woo being elected King his evil overlord, Chris Priestly, was found dead in bed. The post mortem established poisoning as the cause of death. A significant amount of circumstantial evidence led to the arrest and imprisonment of Stanley Woo for the murder of his Community Manager.

On the night before the trial, Woo and his four armed guards were fire-bombed while transferring him to the court. Five severely charred bodies were found in front of the court on the morning of the trial and two of them were positively identified as members of the armed guard. This evidence alone prompted the palace to confirm that Woo died in the attack and his mourning Queen would secede to the thrown as was her right. Palace official’s blamed Woo’s assassination on Allan Schumacher, asserting this violent act was committed to conceal his involvement in the murder of Chris Priestly.

The rule of Queen Merizan has left the country in shambles. It has suffered greatly under her iron fist, and there have been reports of exploitation, unspeakable cruelty and genocide.

Your party is a collection of BSN posters who have been contacted by someone claiming to be Stanley Woo.

The team starts in Off-Topic where they meet the rebel leader and former election candidate Allan Schumacher, in the rebel hideout. Schumacher and his mercenary allies will help if the player agrees to remove Merizan's forces from the subfora of the BioWare Social Network."

And... that's it for now. I'll update when I can. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I'll hate updating it!

Should I ever catch myself using any weapon aside from a Colt rifle, or a G36 variant, I'll be disappoint.  H&K firearms are acceptable.

Exceptions: Emergencies or consultation with me specifically. This is not a discussion!

Carry on.
