thanks for all the kind words, folks =) ch. 4 is almost complete! Got a *teeny bit* sidetracked by shenanigans in a thread on this board, but have no fear! It will be out shortly!

I am insanely jealous of people who can turn out a chapter a day...but writing fiction is a challenge for me, and I am extremely self-critical. Sometimes it takes me an hour to write the *perfect* two paragraphs. So I don't even give it to my beta reader ( Tara) until I've reread and rewritten it about 50 jillion times.

This is strange to me, since I could write a 5,000 word paper for college classes in about 3 hours. And usually did....in the 3 hours before the class it was due, lol.



So I beg your patience. it WILL come, i promise!

Whatever your doing is working because I really want to know how Elle comes out of this. The fact that you made me care about an original character is a true testament to your talent, I can't wait to find out what happens next. Every detail is so perfect, the dialogue is well crafted. I eagerly await your next chapter.

Thanks for the new chapter Skydiver. I have been waiting for it since I finished "Hunting". I also struggle with the time it takes to write new material. An hour for 2 paragraphs sounds about right.

I am eagerly anticipating further installments of Elle's story.

Ooh, nice. Poor Al dying was my character's first ending too. I couldn't go through with Morrigan's ritual, and the noble idiot *had* to sacrifice himself didn't he? XD You've captured the grief, and the anger, really well. More please.

a small aside while I try to get over a bit of writer's block.  Chapter 5 is about half done, don't worry...

Anyway, I wrote this way back when I had a totally different idea for a Teagan story.  It didn't end up happening, but this was from the point of view of the PC that would have been in that story had I been inspired enough to write it   Sometimes I like to try my hand at poetry, and I love the classic sonnet form (14 lines of iambic pentameter in an ababcdcdefefgg rhyming pattern).  A couple of lines, while 10 syllables long, aren't *exactly* the iambic rhythm, but it's close.  I tried!    (gawd i'm such a fangirl...where did this come from?  lol)

For Teagan Upon Entering Redcliffe Castle

Chantry windows reflected morning sun,
Rose-tinted, the light set the hall aglow
You smiled at me, the battle had been won
Together we had struck a mighty blow
A reluctant leader, still you arose
To meet the challenge of the undead horde.
The sad smile you gave to me when you chose
To enter alone could have been a sword
Through my breast.  I should have told you before
How your strength and courage touched my cold heart.
And now I can't imagine a world more
Empty than one in which we are apart.
When I find you again, I'll make you see
You'll never be 'expendable' to me.

I read everybody's.  I may not comment all the time, but just rest assured that I do, in fact, read everybody's stuff.  After all, if I don't read everybody elses writting, why should I expect *anybody* to read mine.

That being said (and out of the way).  I love your stuff, Sky.  Bann Teagan!!  I need his shoulder to cry on!!
