i disagree. sure, i will be getting it, but that doesn't mean i will neglect the games i love. mass effect is something i quit playing halo for multiple times, but never the other way around. even with no co op in mass effect 1 and 2. i got borderlands 2 as well, and i still managed to play plenty of mass effect. in fact, i tend to run through the trilogy atleast once a year, if not more on average. but i just love this series and i love the game. i'm not one to forget the games i love for other games i love, regardless of release. in fact...slowly working a playthrough on the original KOTOR. sure...on those specific days less will be playing, but it won't be too bad. initial releases are like this, but if you love or like the game..you will continue to play.

Halo Reach MP was trash so i expetc Halo 4 MP to be roughly the same.

AC3 is on the radar, have to see about the MP...if the MP is beast that might take me off of ME3...but i have to see how the gameplay is before I can declare that

Even with Black Ops 2 coming out, I'll still be playing this game. Got 700 hours pumped into this game and intend on making it to 1000 hours to beat my RE 5 gametime. Lol.

Hate Halo, a poor man mass effect and as for COD, its akin to cancer of the gaming world and really cannot stand the hardcore player base, completely deluded bunch with their hard-on editions sitting on there laps.
I'm waiting for Forza Horizon to turn up by the end of the week, that will keep me away from ME3 other than work and life itself.
I do think the biggest issue is the ME3 multiplayer itself, the enemies are too difficult for casual players and people are turning off no doubt. No fun playing silver when regularly playing gold before and im not talking about FBW farming.

everybody says this everytime a new anything comes out.... *sigh* I'll say now what I say everytime a thread like this comes up and is proven wrong. each time you play a game you dont get married to it, you dont have to play that game only until you decide to get rid of it. you can play whatever you want and at most a game commands my total "epic overload" attention for 5 days-tops, like Xcom is right now. but after 3 days I'm already starting to slip little by little back into the MP as I finish it. that right I said AS, meaning I'm playing BOTH

I played the beta for about 2 hours a few months back. It's a totally different game than ME3 MP. And inferior to ME3 MP imho. People will give it a try, but most will come back.

Well, since the world is ending in December I.can't really see a need to pick-up any new games in November. Should save a ton on Christmas presents this year.

I admit AC3 will eat into my time but I will still take time to play this game, at least for the challenges.

I confess I've loved Halo from the original on xbox. And I'm sure ill buy it on release day...

But the ME3 mp experience is like nothing I've ever played. It actual lends itself to positive social interaction. I've yet to encounter an 11 year old kid screaming obscenities at me. (but there's still time I suppose). I regularly meet cool people in-game that I really enjoy talking to while playing. Add to that the rpg elements that make ME3 unique... it's just a diff game. Halo or COD fill en entirely diff niche for me.

problems with the servers, balance, store, etc. aren't enough to make me stop playing.

First it was Diablo III.

Then Skyrim's DLC.

Then Borderlands II.

We're still playing.

This. Despite the bugs, the disconnects, the increased difficulty for some, we are still playing. The game is too dynamic to not keep interest alive. I suspect it will still be going until ME4 is launched, and I'm sure there will be more DLC to come as well.

Im guessing black ops 2 comes out on one of those dates, mass effect multiplayer saved me from the broken mess of a multiplayer known as call of duty, I have never raged so hard at a game than that POS. Co-op is much more enjoyable for me than competitive so I will glady stick around playing ME3.

I have Reach and after a year still not finished it and am Halo fan - it just didn't gel with me. Got Halo Anniversary a few months back and played hell out of it. Kind of meh with 4 despite ordering collectors edition which I canceled and ordered Colonial Marines game with powerloader statue. That could get me away from ME3.

Only the truly dedicated will be playing after 12 - 21 -12.

...or was it 'the truly immortal' I forget.

You people make it sound like its the end of the world or something.

...Also the Mayans actually predicted the end of Mass Effect Multiplayer, not the end of the world. :P

Perhaps it should be changed to the truly addicted, OP. I'll still be playing come November, and for many months to come. ^_^
