Three for three, c'mon Bioware.

I hope the opposite of that choice is to kill a famous human noble family.

Can I bioware, please?

A noble family that threatens the Dalish?

I hope they kinda break that elf=mustbedalishomg notion and gives us a awesome city elf for companion.
I know Zevran only was half dalish but still, he's a crow instead. That's unique in another way. And Fenris was le slave.

Would be cool with a companion kina like the city elf origin, a street rar that just had a talent and trained in secret.

I like that very much, the companion equivalent of Tabris...an NPC straight out of the alienage would be interesting indeed :)  EDIT: One who could objectively see that not all humans are bad nor all elves blameless.

If we get a dalish, let it be a male hunter this time.

Both times before was female mages.

I completely agree on that.

They'll say "you evil shemlen, you" a few times, with a really reproachful tone. They'll at least once tell the inquisitor that lots and lots of arrows are pointed at him/her. Then the inquisitor gets to ask really nicely that they please please allow him/her to save their asses. Bonus points for renegade interrupt at this moment.

Here is a possible hint. I was playing Mark of the Assassin just now and happened to hear some banter between Fenris and Merril.
According to him, some elves told him that there is going to be an enormous gathering of the clans really soon. Do you know what this mean...
We could finally catch them all in one place!

Ok, seriously tough, this could be an hint to the Dalish playing a role in the war.

The leak says we'll get a (presumably city) elf thief. Though I'm praying to the Maker, the Creators and the Qun that the leak isn't too accurate, because in the description she sounds like the most obnoxious character possible.

Even so, I think he can say that to Merrill at any point you play the DLC, so he can say that right after the blight ended and at the end of DA2 nothing more has come of it.

We'll see, it would be cool if it was possible to attend this gathering.

I'm not going to consider anything in the leak until we see something from official sources to compare it with.

I can't see how it's better to go on just random speculation.  The leak should be treated with a healthy dose of scepticism of course, but in the absence of any actual information to go on, why ignore it?

Knowing BioWare, they're going to be a bunch of minor background characters meant to "look pretty" (I use the term loosely thanks to the new elf design) instead of being involved with the story or conflict. If they are involved, city elves are going to be around very briefly (we're talking less than two minutes) and called "elven fanatics" instead of being given actual names or stories like the elves in DA2 Blackpowder Courtesy and Demands of the Qun

Expect all Dalish (except maybe one) to be depicted as intolerant jerkasses and the human protagonist to be able to slaughter an entire clan like we were able to do in the last two games. Expect elven mages to be left out of the mage/templar war even though they're part of it. And expect at least one elven companion to be critical of elves everywhere (as Zevran and Fenris were) and prefer humans. There.

I did say that in my first post. All the thee factions of the war (mages, templars and Chantry) aren't exactly liked by the dalish. I'd say it's better if the templars leave them alone (they might want to hunt Keepers), since in this case the elves will probably side with the mages, and having them will be a great advantage for the mages.

She was probably referring to the Keepers. Which are already free to begin with, and I doubt that most of them would consider the human mages as their people.

Elves will complain but not actually do anything to try and make their lives better. The Dalish especially will whine about how much they're unfairly discriminated against and have the moral highground, all while hypocritically being violently racist toward any and all non-elves.

There was a clan (in DA2) where the majority of the members were racist towards humans. There is a clan (in DAO) where the majority of the members weren't racist toward humans. So despite those two examples= every daish are racists toward elves?
It's like saying that every human is racists toward elves, which isn't true.

The Grey Wardens were the villains. Remember when Loghain was going to save that fool Cailan, but then Duncan stabbed Cailan in the back mid-battle, and Loghain bravely led his forces to safety rather into a trap? And the Orlesians were behind manipulating everything, even the Darkspawn and ESPECIALLY the liberal pro-warden/mage/elf media, from behind the scenes? Remember that part of DAO?

Yeah, your elf warden was a villain. Hardly improving things for the elves. Probably killed Vaughan for trying to take in elves off the street and give them a warm place to stay for the night, huh?
