Hey guys, there were about 20 people who have messaged me over the last couple weeks who I've replied back to. We have a script we are working on that will rename your persona to the correct length for DAO. If this trial run works we will expand it out and fix all the personas that are broken.

 

So what happens if our problems are not due to DA2 errors?  Will this script also fix our DA:O "profile not found" problem?

 

I have two Dragon Age personas on my account:  DragonAge_####### and DragonAge_#####.  I also have a MassEffect2_######## persona, a Sims 3 persona, and my Origin persona.  I just changed my default to my Origin one, since that seems the most logical one to use.

 

My DA:O profile uploading ability broke some time ago, so I basically forgot about it until today, and found my characters from shortly after release still there.  I deleted all that because I know what I'm doing with my world states now and want to start fresh playthroughs in preparation for Inquisition.  The DA2 part works.

 

So should I go ahead and start my playthroughs?  Will all my information upload when this syncing problem is resolved?

 

EDIT:  I just wanted to say that I installed patch 1.05 again and then ran the game through the Origins launcher, and it's working!  \o/  I still can't access the profile page from the game (still getting "profile not found").  I have to click on the drop down "other profiles for this user" in order to see my uploaded characters.  I hope the Keep handles finding this stuff in a more uncomplicated way, but at least it's all there now!

I am one of these 20, everthing seems to be working, already got all my characters in my profile.

I am one of the 20. It took a while for the Bioware Social Forum to upload all my data from DAO, but as of right now, my screenshots and characters are uploaded and things seem to be in order. 

 

My character info started uploading after I went into my saved games in DAO, loaded the latest saved game for each character, and did a quick save after loading. Just loading a saved game does not seem to trigger the upload.

I have the DA2 Persona issue. Havent been able to upload,just like all the others. Can anybody help me out?

BioWare is working on a script to fix all the persona related issues.  Hang tight.

I was having an issue with this... and then I realized my 'Ultimate Edition' had not been registered, only my 'regular edition' of DAO was registered.
I had migrated all my Bioware keys to Origin from steam for simplicity's sake, so once I did this it seemed to stream-line it.

However, I have a new error for my character, it shows 'ERROR 1005 - Extra unexpected files uploaded for this character" in the player profile diagnostics.

The player character that it uploaded does not have a story connected to it, and the previous upload doesn't have any of the witch hunt decision markers in it.

This is getting annoying --- especially with the Keep launch looming.

I've been having this issue too - it just will not upload any of my wardens. Same with my Hawkes. With the keep relying on this feature it becomes a bit more urgent. If it cannot be fixed then at the very least I hope an option to change the "default heroes" names will be introduced.

I figured trying to access my profile from inside the game might help it sync, but instead it takes me to "Profile Not Found

I can log in to my profile from a browser and see that my characters are updating, but as I said, no achievements are unlocking on the profile.

Any ideas?

I noticed this as well, even after the fix they just rolled out. I can upload characters and screenshots now, but my achievements no longer update on the site.

I have kinda the same problem. I can see my other origin warden in BSN but not my original one. I can see all my achievment though. The bad thing is that I have only completed the game with my original warden. So when the keep opens it will import the wrong warden (since I can't even see my original warden). Haven't found any way to fix this. I have played the game only with one account. How can I get this fixed!?

Hi Hayden, from the sounds of it your problem could probably be fixed by opening origins, making sure you're logged in, loading up an endgame, or close to endgame save from your preferred Warden and doing a quick save. It should sync within an hour.

 

Having said all that I would stress that you really shouldn't worry about this. You can still use the keep to make sure all the choices you made are represented in Inquisition and beyond.

To get my old characters to upload, all I had to do was load an old save, change something in my inventory, then make a new full save (not a quick save). After doing that, the character would upload after I exited the game. However, no achievements I've made since the new fix have unlocked on the site.

Another one here that saved DA2 before DAO when transferring to a new PC. I'm currently testing the Keep but it's not syncing any of my DAO achievements despite them showing up on my BSN profile.

Underneath though is a button that has my old username on it and links to my profile.

This. I thought that it was an issue with my account. Yeah no achievement updating for me too. They used to update properly before but not anymore. Rest everything updates fine. Is there a fix they are working on for it?

Main issue's not a Keep problem, just saying the fact I'm trying to help test the Keep is my reason for wanting this fixed more quickly.

I believe the problem is at the BSN end. It's just communication between DAO and the website where the problem is.

 

Syncing's only down for shared world states right now, that bit works.

It's a Windows service that installs with Dragon Age. You can find it by running services.msc (type that into the Windows search box and it should find it) and looking for this: Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater. If it isn't running, right-click on it and select Start. This service needs to be running whenever you play the game, if you want it to upload your profile, etc.

No, that shouldn't have anything to do with it. Try running this repair tool and see if it helps:
