What would happen if you just deleted the persona and created a new one?

I don't know the full effects as that hasn't been tested either.  But from what I know about those systems it's more likely to cause problems than changing the persona name.

@Vaalyah - it sounds like you have a communication issue with the game servers and online storage servers.  I would suggest first trying to get the DLC to work using this thread as it may resolve your other issues too.

Ok, tomorrow I'll give it a try, then I'll come back here to let you know if it worked.
And now... going to bed! Thank you! :-)

@OdanUrr & @Logan Track - You both have the same issue of the persona name generated by DA2 is too long for DA:O to work correctly.

I could update the persona name to be shorter but we have not fully tested what the impact of this will be.  You would still be able to play both DA:O and DA2, along with your DLC, however there could be some unexpected errors or strange behavior with your current DA:O save games, DA2 save games or uploaded DA2 character data.

If you want me to fix this for you send me and Jesse.Reid a PM saying that you are aware of the risks and want us to fix your persona.  This applies to anyone who played DA2 before DA:O.

Just wanted to confirm that shortening the persona name did the trick. I've successfully uploaded a character and I've experienced no side effects so far.

Ok, I've followed the DLC troubleshoot page. Result:
1) I was finally able to update the DLC menu. I have finally been able to download the DLC!
2) I am finally able to upload screenshots.
3) Still I can't see any user-taken screenshot in the game-menu.
4) My characters are still missing (though maybe I have to wait longer for them to be seen) in the on line page.
5) I still get the message "profile not found".

Vaali, try making another manual save from the end of the game. It might finally start uploading, since your screenshots are already working. You could also try unequipping your armour and then equipping it again before making the manual save. It works for me when I want to upload/update an old character.

I'm having the same issue as everyone else.

The achievements show up but it says I have 0 characters.

I played Dragon Age Origins first, though I did try the DAII Demo when it came out(Which was before I first played DAO).

Is there anything I can do?

In the second post of this page, Jeff linked a thread. I've followed the steps described there and I've solved my problems. I suggest you to do the same :-)

I'm not missing any DLC though.

I know it's quite trivial but I'd enjoy checking out my character here on BSN when I'm bored at work or something.

I'll check out the link anyways.

Edit: Yeah I just looked through the thread, none of those solutions seem to relate to me because I'm fine in terms of the DLC, just can't get characters to show up on BSN.

I ALSO had your same problem. And the solution is just the re-activation of Windows Dragon age update service. Trust me: follow those steps and you'll see your characters on line ;-)

Which bullet point/number is that under? Having trouble finding it.

I just did point 3.2.4, which is uninstalling it via cmd, and then reinstalling it.

How do I tell if it worked now? Do I go ingame and click Online Profile or what?

Edit: I just went ingame and clicked Online Profile, I'm still getting "Profile Not Found: The Requested Player Does Not Have Any Dragon Age Data Uploaded"

What do I do?

Start from 3.1. The thing that saved my life was 3.2.2 but you have to check the steps before, so, start from 3.1 and go down the list ;-)

I have an odd question about my DA:O profile (seems to be working fine now, thanks again Jesse) which relates to my initial issues that I posted about here.

Finally, I heard from the EA "experts".  It was really weird, they emailed me out of the blue and preemptively gave me a custom link to follow in case my Bioware/EA account got locked.  It freaked me out, the advisor worded his email a little poorly and I thought he was going to delete my characters (after finally getting it all working/updating correctly) but luckily he was waiting for word back from me so I just took it from there and hashed things out--didn't lose anything.

Okay, that's a preface to my question (sorry for length).  EA eventually deleted some extra, I guess they would be considered DA "personas", that were registered to my Bioware forum account.  I had three pages/links for DA characters but only one was being used/getting updated.  One persona had previously had duplicate characters and achievements on it but I deleted the characters via profile diagnostics.

When I talked to the advisor and he went through and deleted everything, he had some trouble getting one of the personas to delete completely.  If you look at my player profile, you'll see it's still there and still has two achievements on it as well (no characters).  The advisor figured it was something that had to happen on the Bioware site itself (that it would eventually update or something) and that was... Basically three weeks ago.

So now my question is: can this extra persona get deleted by one of the mods here?
(Again, sorry for length.)

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I got the same problem as the others did earlier in the thread.

I opened up my Dragon Age Origins, I connected my EA account and I loaded my Online Profile from Origins and the BSN couldn't find my account on the website, I logged into BSN and the BSN can't find any characters. I think I synced DA2 before Origins, so that problem might be happening. But what problem is it? How do you fix it? Why is it happening?

Hello. I had the same problem, before Jesse told me the solution. So, read my previous message in this page, you'll find the step you need to solve it too :-)

Hi everyone,
Sorry to bump this thread, I’m experiencing a similar issue.

I don’t own Dragon Age 2, but wish to access the content of the Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition.

When I log into the BioWare servers inGame I’m prompted to pay for this content. When I attempt to sync my profile on the BSN, I’m experiencing the message “Profile not found” although my profile is linked to the same e-mail of my Origin account, and I own Dragon Age Origins among several other BioWare games.

I tried several troubleshoot guide I could find on the internet (and the answer hq). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
