I guess i have 12 characters loaded on my 360 profile. should i delete some? just curious if there's a max or not
There's a maximum number of files that will upload, and each character has four file slots (character XML, portrait image, avatar image, and story XML). Uploaded screenshots also count towards this number limit.
At twelve characters, you should be two files under the limit, unless you uploaded some screenshots as well.
To see your Profile Diagnostics page, go to the Legacy BSN site. On the left side of the screen, go to the My Games menu, then select Player Profiles. Once there, choose the platform that you want to look at, then click on the Profile Diagnostics link on the left.

The persona problem should only impact people playing on PC because when you play on consoles it uses your console persona. For DA2 and DAO on PC the game created a Dragon Age persona since until Origin was created there wasn't a standard PC persona namespace.
DAO created personas in the format of DragonAge_######## while DA2 used DA2_############################. DAI will avoid this by using your Origin persona like ME3 did.
In most cases the game data is stored using your persona ID but for DAO some of it was stored using the persona name and that is where the problem arises. The fix is to rename the persona to something shorter and what we are looking into now is a better way to automate the process. Since changing it manually for everyone doesn't scale well. ![]()
There are other possible problems with syncing but usually those are within your control to fix while this one you can't fix yourself.

Jesse, will this persona fix be ready before the DAKeep or DAI launch?
I got into beta in DAKeep and it is sad to have to use those default wardens instead of the ones I played.

We're working to have the DA2_###...### persona name problem fixed before launch.

I'm not entirely sure if I have the syncing issue, but I've tried several times to figure out a way to get my character profiles to upload. Originally, I played DA ultimate edition on PS3. After playing ME for a while on PC, I got DA2 and DA ultimate edition for PC on origin. I played DA2 first, then went into DAO. Now after reading this thread, I thought maybe I had the profile name issue, but looking at the amount of numbers, it seems I don't? I'm so confused tbh. There's currently 5 profiles when I got to my EA account management page, and I selected the DA one as default. When I go to social.bioware.com to look for DA:O player profiles, it says "Error Code 1000 - No characters were found in your online storage". I have quite a few characters saved in both DAO and DA2 (which by the way is only showing 2 characters when I look on the online profile, and I have like 6 or 7 characters that I've completed the game with..)
I tried opening DAO without "enabledeveloperconsole" actually enabled, to see if that'd fix it since I saw something about that maybe causing an issue. That didn't seem to help. I tried re-saving an old save game, though I had to force it to load since I didn't have all the mods installed for it, and that didn't work.
I am not entirely sure what else to do? :/ If anyone has any ideas about whether this would be the DA2 before DAO profile bug, or what else it might be, I'd appreciate any input x.x

Hello, I'm also having problems with my player profile for DA:O and Dragon age 2 on PC. On my old PC I never managed to properly sync the profile, in fact only a profile named 280338912 appeared, which uploaded the achievements but not the characters. It wasn't directly connected to my BSN account but I could only access it shifting from my xbox profile (which instead worked perfectly). On my new PC I installed Dragon Age 2 but it never synced at all, clicking on Activate online profile it said it was successfully synced but nothing changed. I though it was because I installed it before Origins but now that I have reinstalled it as well I still don't have anything, and the PC player profile is now just a blank page. Plus on my EA profile there's a ?'?676 nickname which I guess is whatever was created instead of my actual player profile. I really don't know what to do, any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so very much for sharing this! This is definitely going to help a lot of people. Thank you to everyone over at Bioware who is working hard to get this problem fixed before release. ![]()

Hi! I have the same problem. I did not play DA2 before DAO. I only play on PC. Can you help me?

So the bug is only if you have a persona named DA2_#######, correct? I only have DragonAge_#######, so I assume that's not my issue.
My problem goes back a couple years, where I stopped being able to play DAO while logged in. So from that point on, I couldn't upload. Recently, I installed DAO on my laptop, and it runs just fine. Created a character and I can play logged in. Now while my profile says it updated, the new character does not appear. Does anyone know what this issue is, and more importantly, how to fix it?

Leave it running for a while. Change equipped items and see if the dragon age service is running.

Hello! Recently faced with this problem - I bought Dragon Age Ultimate edition & Dragon Age 2, but they don't sync with my BSN profile. When I try to sync profiles, writes to me: "Could not sync your Dragon Age 2 account at this time. Please try again later." Game license. Please help, I really want to move exterior Guard for DA Inquisition, will be very sad if I knowingly bought the licensed publications. ![]()

Has anyone been able to download characters from DAO to BSN?
Many ways have been tried and nothing has helped.

Dragon Age service?
You need to run the "services" program on Windows which requires admin access. I think clicking Start > run > then type services should work. Then from the list of items there, you should find the Dragon Age something there and make sure it's running.

I miss the old forums, I could look at the characters that are syncd to my profile. I have zero characters from DA:O in the Keep but I have my Da2 ones. Now, is this the keep? or do I not have my DA:O Wardens synced to this account? How do I check? I have no idea where to look on this forum's settings.

Holy ****. That appears to have actually worked. This is the first time I have ever heard of that, even though I looked for help countless times when the issues first started. Thank you!

I have this problem too. My DA2 save and character synced just well with my profile, but Origins save is another matter. No matter what I do I can't seem to upload it. And to make things worse, half of my achievments just disappeared after I reinstalled Origins, hoping to finally sync my save. I'm beta testing the Keep, so it'd be super awesome if I could have my characters on my profile to sync with it.

I have DAO Ultimate Edition but it's through the steamstore, so im certain it has something to do with that, but yeah i can't upload my player profiles either, but i can upload my achievements because there is a button specifically for uploading achievements, I wish they did that for the player profiles.

If you played DA2 before DAO its known problem and for now only thing you can do is wait until they fix the problem

Hey guys, there were about 20 people who have messaged me over the last couple weeks who I've replied back to. We have a script we are working on that will rename your persona to the correct length for DAO. If this trial run works we will expand it out and fix all the personas that are broken.
That's fantastic news! Fingers crossed and hope it goes smoothly during the test run.
