Can we at least choose our body types? You know like slim/fat or tall/short, just stuff like that.
If we can't choose races....

That's one of those things that's just such an obvious design choice that Bioware ignores.

Since part of the reason they're not including race is presumably because of the different body sizes and camera positioning during cinematics, I highly doubt it.

I'd imagine it would be difficult to implement. Skyrim did it but the only way to be was jacked as hell or skinny as a twig, or something in between. You couldn't your character fat. That would be interesting though. Maybe someday.

I wouldn't mind a choice between slim, plump, 'average', and athletic.
Just as long as 'tall' for women was at least taller than 'short' for men.

One of the primary reasons they say they aren't adding race selection is the cost of creating extra models, armor for those models, etc. Body types would have the same issue, I'd expect. It would be a nice addition though. I liked that in DA2 they gave companions unique body types. I'm curious if they still will in DA3 though, since there's going to be more armor customization that I'm guessing won't just be recoloring.

If male protagonist is again forced to look like a meathead then I'll just play a female protagonist, like I do in Mass Effect or Dragon Age 2.

You probably wont even get to choose what your character actually says, let alone body type or race.

If we could choose body types (I wouldn't hold my breath though), it might be interesting if certain options flagged certain addition dialog. For example, if someone is below a certain height, maybe there's a line somewhere in the game where someone calls you "shorty".
Another example is maybe references to your hair color and eye color, like perhaps your LI describing what they like about you. They could do that now, without body types, actually, though I doubt they will.

I like this suggestion. Having your LI say you've got beautiful green/blue/brown eyes or something would be pretty cool.
It doesn't even have to be LI talking about you though, it could just be any old companion. In DA:O Leliana was really fashion centric, so if we get another companion like her in DA3 having that companion comment on your hair style or something could be fun.

When I first played DAO, I had the same haircut as Leliana, so when she said she liked my hair, I thought the game actually was acknowledging that at first.
I agree. Hairstyle is another good example of something they could let the game check, recognize, and respond to, easily. Players love having their choices acknowledged, and I think having spoken dialog that shows the game recognizes elements of your custom created character would be a really nice way to please a lot of fans. It would have been hilarious if one of Carver's jabs at one of my Hawke's was how he was balding.

It would be hilarious if we had a boob slider like in Saint's Row 3.

I don't think height sliders will be in since height differences create a lot of additional cinematic work and is part of the reason why we aren't having other races in DA3. I could see different build options(slim, fat, normal, buff, etc), but then you run into issues with armor and animations. It's not exactly a trivial task to check to make sure the armor looks right on all body builds during every animation. While it can and has been done in other games, I would rather not allocate resources to that task.
