My problem came with her getting a body period. Her getting a body was the only thing in the game, outside of the ending, that actually bothered me on my first playthrough. It was one of those things where I kind of just stopped for a second and thought to myself, "That was unnecessary."
What is so bad about EDI's body?

Because turning EDI into a well-adjusted human made me lose interest in her. She's a humanized character with a very robotic personality; the quirks she had in ME2 made her interesting. In ME3, those quirks are nearly gone, stripped away to give us the impression that she's adjusted to her newfound humanity; the only thing we're left with is a humanized character that shows little to no emotion. There were no character flaws to counterbalance her matter-of-fact, bland personality in ME3.
The body just completed that transition. It made EDI my least favorite character of the bunch, by far.

I reckon the body looks odd viewed from the front, particularly when she's talking. It's part of the cliche eighties sci-fi thing they're going for so I'm okay with it. Plus, her dialogue, characterisation and abilities as a squad-mate far outweigh any negative feelings I would have had towards the body.
As for the sexualisation thing...come on, do the people who get upset about that even know what series they're playing. What with Miranda, Jack, Thane, Tali and the entire asari race, the sexualised appearance of a single mech body is a drop in the ocean.

Edi wanted to be one of the crew once in the robot's body. The "infiltration unit's" clothes had been burned off. Shepard should have been able to have Steve set her up with a regulation jumpsuit like the rest of the crew. However, the game devs didn't give Shepard the conversation option.

The over-sexualization. And her story arc with that body doesn't score much in the originality department.

The important thing to remember is that it ISN'T EDI's body.
Not really.

Men are rather "immune" to the degrees of female sexualization/objectification. I'd like to read what women players, specifically, have to say about EDI's body.

I don't have that much of a problem with it. If they toned down a little on the certain oversized proportions of the body, I think it'd be okay.
Then again, I always found myself bringing someone else, unless I had to bring EDI with me. Mostly because the other teammates have way funnier lines.

I dislike it simply because its inclusion meant a good squadmate spot was wasted.

I disliked EDI's body, wish that they could have used a different model for it. Sexy droid-girl was my least liked crewmember. However I had plenty of other people on board that I liked very much so it is not so bad. I just avoid her.

The funny thing is I never noticed that until I heard about it on this forum. And, you need to look closely to really see it. So...that leads me to wonder why someone was looking at it that closely? Perhaps someone has a complex and is hunting for things to complain about?

EDI is a fully self aware AI why wouldn't she want a body?

Still them showing her ****** and then having her body being fully busted the way they did really do you not see why other female gamers would find this a problem O_O?

she shouldve never been a squadmate.
she shouldve always been a disembodied AI on the normandy.
whoever thought it was a good wriing move to include her as a squadmate and then have her and joker fall in love should be writing childrens stories

Never actually having seen her ******, I had to Google it.. for research. Is it truly as prominent as these images are implying?
Now I have to wipe a magnet over my hard-drive.

just think, we probably didnt get to see our war assets in cimematics because the time and resources were spent by some lonely nerd developer making EDI a vagina

Meh, she really didn't need a body, but there were some fun moments that couldn't have happened without it.
I personally think the Joker/EDI relationship could have been very interesting if she remained as the Normandy, but whatever.

I don't like it because EDI went from a charming character with a cute "old married couple" relationship with Joker, to somebody who Joker wanted to bang because she had suddenly sprouted breasts.
Her character lost all credibility when it became apparent you can't have a conversation with an AI without the camera including her gloopy, droopy breasts in the shot.
She should have had something like an I,Robot body. Something that kept up the idea that it was her personality that made her interesting.

Can't see how EDI being oversexualized is any different than 90% of women characters in gaming. It's boring but I simply got used to it. Just like all the males are fit, wide-shouldered and square jawed - games took it from movies, and beatiful/sexy is more pleasant to look at.
Personality wise, I really liked her. I would trade all the Geth for one EDI.

Personally, I thought that EDI while evidently over sexualized wasn't that bad because:
a)Her personality wasn't sexualized at all.
b)The body had a reason to be sensual, as it was an infiltration unit obviously designed to use sex appeal as a mean to meddle.
Was the ****** too much? Probably. Then again, I feel the changes made to Liara and Ashley were much more explicit and those hardly had any rational explanation other than pandering.
