Here's the thing. The geth was not easy to make AI's. It took 10 year for them to be accedentally made. Just becasue it was made by accident doe s not mean AI's are easy to make. Sure they did every thing they could to make sure the geth did not becaome AI, but that does not mean making AI's is easy. The geth themselves as VI's are extremely complex to make.

You have yet to prove how easy Ai are to make. The geth, which stated out as extremely complex VI's which were extremely hard to make, is not  an examlple of an AI's ease to make.

Are you really going to make me respond to your exact same point for the third time?

Anyway, I gave reasons for it being easy; Cerberus have pretty much infinte funding.  Cerberus are not confined to treaties pertaining to the building of AIs.  The Quarians accidentally made an AI from a VI, and VIs litter the galaxy; Avina, FENRIS Mech, LOKI Mech, YMIR Mech and Glyph.  All the primary species in the galaxy have access to technology that is of a level that means FTL travel is not only possible, but is so mundane it isn't actually that special anymore.

You have not given a single reason for it being hard, other than "IT IS NOT EASY".

The reason I didnt like EDI's body was nothing to do with its sexualisation.
I didnt like it because sense it did not make...

We had previously seen nothing in the ME universe to suggest mechanical bodies that flexible and life-like could be manufactured. There was 1 AI spy in the entire game... You'd think if the tech were possible then Cerb woulda made a few more, no?
Yes there are other moments in ME where a random tech would appear, but to hinge a whole story arc on it wasn't quite right.

I just never felt that EDI needed a body to have a connection to Joker or anyone else for that matter. It feels completely unnecessary.

Ashley? Yes. She had extensive plastic surgery plus a full makeover, boob job, and showed more ass.

Liara? No. Why? Liara went from isolated field researcher to information broker on Illium where she was going to have a more public image. That required a change in appearance. In ME3 she was quite covered up, unlike some others who showed butt cleavage through their outfits.

EDI on the other hand... <_<

She wanted to learn what it was like to be human. It's obvious. She needed to learn that clothes make the woman! Let's be totally shallow about this. She was malfunctioning.

The only problem I have with EDI's body is that it shouldn't be MISSION CRITICAL to save it (a la calling in the Normandy at the end of the game to pick up the broken disposable avatar.... of the Normandy).

Honestly Joker, why do I have to "be careful and watch over her" when I bring EDI to the Cerberus base other than to ensure you still have a functioning sex doll? Worse comes to worse the body gets destroyed and you get to have intercom sex with EDI until we make a new Realdoll for her to control.

EDI's body would be an android as it resembles human form.

And as I said before. Finacing does not mean making an AI is easy. Easier, but not easy. You still have yet to proven the ease of making an AI. Having a bunch of fanacing does not make an AI easy to make.
And Quarian did not make the geth with some common VI's ether. The VI the machs have in ME2 are nothing compeared to how complex the geth as VI's are. The geth vi's are extremely complex. Every vi you see in ME is nothing near as complaex as the geth are as vi's.

And I have give a reason why it's not easy to make. The codex states this.

Had nothing wrong with her body. She did not even choose how it looked.

Not at all. EDI would always have a limit of connect the crew as long as she sayed as the ship. She becaome more human with the body and has more freedom with it. How can she explore the world if sheis stuck on the ship?

Yes we have. The geth are an example of flexible life like bodies.

I think the problem is that the sex-bot body was unnecessary. As you said, EDI isn't a love interest, so why try so hard for the "hot chick" look. In fact, why give her a body at all? EDI was interesting because she couldn't emote in the same way we could, yet was becoming her own distinct person. It was a cheap trick for easy humanization.

I was actually more bothered by the "sexy" redesign of Ashley.

Let's not pretend Liara didn't go up 2 sizes since ME1.

Bear in mind that the body wasn't made to be EDI in the first place, it was meant for EVA who was supposed to blend in with humans. And hey, she was created by the same guy who recruited Miranda pretty much for the way she looked, to me it makes sense. I think that the proportions of the body could definantly have been toned down though, and the character would have been just as (if not more) attractive.

Because EA. No seriously, i realize it's easy to always point the finger at EA, but there is a sort've "Sex Quota" that needed to filled. There was no reason for EDI's body to look like that other than fan service. I mean why do you think women in Bioware games suddenly started to become overly sexualized ever since they got bought out by EA?

TIM did not recruit Miranda because she was a hot piece of ***.

False. there's not one scene in the game where the camera focuses on her ass(like Miranda). Plus, she wears a jacket that pretty much covers it up... so she's showing less ass now actually.

lmao I didn't put it THAT bluntly. Yes she was a VERY skilled biotic, but the fact that she was the "perfect woman" was undoubtedly a factor.

Her looks were a nice addition that came with the package, but she was recruited as his top agent because she was very intelligent, ambitious, capable, and commanded loyalty. Out of all the top scientists in Cerberus, Miranda was selected to oversee the Lazurus Project, because TIM knew she was the only one that could get it done.

What scene was that again? I need to review it for uh....studying purposes. I'm learning about camera work in video games.

Well.... yeah. i'm not arguing with you here lol, all I said was it would have been one of the factors.

My initial point was that someone who was designing an artificial body would want to make it "attractive" (even if they went overboard imo). Even if it was a little extreme, I don't think it harms EDI's character in any way.

I think EDI's character was  pretty good in ME3, and i don't think her looks harm her character either. But yeah her proportions were a bit out there.

It didn't really bother me. Having an extra squadmate never hurt, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was EDI. It's a shame the game doesn't have loyalty missions like ME2, I bet her loyalty mission would have been pretty cool.

I do however have a problem with Ashley's makeover, mainly because there was no need for it. Kaidan didn't get a makeover, so why did Ashley need one?

EDI is everywhere in the ship. The crew could interact with her any time they wish. EDI also doesn't need a body to become "more human". Also also, EDI could explore the world by hitching a ride on anyone's armor.
