It didn't really bother me. Having an extra squadmate never hurt, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was EDI. It's a shame the game doesn't have loyalty missions like ME2, I bet her loyalty mission would have been pretty cool.

I do however have a problem with Ashley's makeover, mainly because there was no need for it. Kaidan didn't get a makeover, so why did Ashley need one?

Because T&A sells I guess?

Not at all. EDI would always have a limit of connect the crew as long as she sayed as the ship. She becaome more human with the body and has more freedom with it. How can she explore the world if sheis stuck on the ship?

EDI is everywhere in the ship. The crew could interact with her any time they wish. EDI also doesn't need a body to become "more human". Also also, EDI could explore the world by hitching a ride on anyone's armor.

As long and EDI is just the ship. The crew would see her mostly like a thing. Here form is a limit of interaction on a metal level and they would not treat he as much as a human. Added, ridingon someone back and not touching any thing is not the same as walking out and doing it herself.

Please, every female on the ship is eye candy. Add Miranda is romancible. EDI is not.

Well she isn't human plain and simple, however they still respect and rely on her. This was made rather obvious after Joker unshackled her. She doesn't need a body to be a part of the crew. Also, technically she isn't doing anything herself since she doesn't reside primarily within Eva's body.

Then again, I feel the changes made to Liara and Ashley were much more explicit and those hardly had any rational explanation other than pandering.

Ashley? Yes. She had extensive plastic surgery plus a full makeover, boob job, and showed more ass.

Liara? No. Why? Liara went from isolated field researcher to information broker on Illium where she was going to have a more public image. That required a change in appearance. In ME3 she was quite covered up, unlike some others who showed butt cleavage through their outfits.

EDI on the other hand... <_<

Let's not pretend Liara didn't go up 2 sizes since ME1.

You do remember her mother, right? That rack. And Aethyta talks about it before Benezia's Matriarch years.

1. That's up to her to decide.
2. Te body helps he intercate withthe crew on a personal level.
3.Eva's body is her moble platform. Their her second set of eyes, legsand arms. She is doing something.
4.This body does not do any thing to lessen her character.

I like Ken's quip about how Asari get older they get "bigger" and wants to go to where Matriarchs retire or something like that. Always gives me a laugh.

. Ashley in ME1 not so much, neither was Tali, I mean you dont know what's under there.  And EDI doesn't have to be romanceable for her to be eye candy.

1. What do you mean it's up to her? She simply isn't human. It's not like the AI's in the Halo'verse where "smart" AI's are based off a person. She's basically code and a blue box which forms her personality.
2. That's what her "blue ball" avatar was for. Same idea.
3. Fair enough.
4. But it doesn't help either. The Final Hours bit says the body was there to explore if a human could love a robot. This is hinder when the robot is sexualized and Joker seems more perverted than actually have an attachment (like in ME2 in the end). In the end, it would've been much better to keep her soley in the ship to explore this issue and not take the cheap way out.

You're kidding?

Say that agein after to take a elevator ride with them. People have been obsessing over Tali's butt since ME1.

And yest EDI has to be romacible for her role to be Eye candy. Heck, even female character on teh ship, under your term is eye candy.

1. Ai's in Holo is just a copy of a person brain. Not persona. And what I mean is it up to her to try to be more human.
2. No it did not. It's limited a person view of her on a mental level.
4.Yes, it does. She grows as a being because of the body. Note how EDI tells you after She gets that body the crew treats her body as a person, and her in geveral like a person with that body. She does develop dramaticlly because of the new perspective that body gives her.

Complain EDI is over sexualized, forget about every other female character in ME2 &3 and their enhancements.

Lets take a look shall we;
Ashley got a face and boob job.
Miranda doesn't even need to be explained.
Jack is mostly naked, most of the time and also got a more feminine make over.
Liara has changed faces and chests thrice.
Samara is basically a shop window.
Tali has been growing out her hips for 3 games.

Edit; Didn't include ME1 body shapes because although not variable, they were at least more realistic and less pornstar like.

OK.
Ashley: it's not a face and boob job, as much as updated graphics...
Jack: A more feminine make over? You mean the fact she has hair? Her hair growing is a metaphore for her charecter growth.
Liara: Ok, I think I see a pattern. What you're realy saying is that in ME1 the girls were flat chested?
Tali: Well the hip growth was due to popular demand. I think the graphic artist were trying to poke fun at the talimancers obssession with her hips, and it just got out of control. Or maybe Tali has been munching on dextro-donuts ("Don't worry, Chakwas told me my purifiers filter out the calories! Honest!"). Either way.

← Infiltrator.

I don't see what you mean, she looks nubile in ME1.

I probably should has said not realistically representive of the variation in female body shapes instead of variable.
