Yep. And you're a bunch of neurons and nothing more. Your point?

She isn't human. She can't say one day "Today, I am human". She can be more human like, but yeah.

No one said EDI became human because of her body. Just more human like. That why you point has no ground.

Edit; Didn't include ME1 body shapes because although not variable, they were at least more realistic and less pornstar like.

Say that agein when you put on FemSheps Light armor.

← Infiltrator.

I don't see what you mean, she looks nubile in ME1.

I probably should has said not realistically representive of the variation in female body shapes instead of variable.

My point is that her rear in that would cause an accident if she walks down the street.

Complain EDI is over sexualized, forget about every other female character in ME2 &3 and their enhancements.

Lets take a look shall we;
Ashley got a face and boob job.
Miranda doesn't even need to be explained.
Jack is mostly naked, most of the time and also got a more feminine make over.
Liara has changed faces and chests thrice.
Samara is basically a shop window.
Tali has been growing out her hips for 3 games.

OK.
Ashley: it's not a face and boob job, as much as updated graphics...
Jack: A more feminine make over? You mean the fact she has hair? Her hair growing is a metaphore for her charecter growth.
Liara: Ok, I think I see a pattern. What you're realy saying is that in ME1 the girls were flat chested?
Tali: Well the hip growth was due to popular demand. I think the graphic artist were trying to poke fun at the talimancers obssession with her hips, and it just got out of control. Or maybe Tali has been munching on dextro-donuts ("Don't worry, Chakwas told me my purifiers filter out the calories! Honest!"). Either way.

Either way, they still are Eye candy.
Everyone of them are greatly physically attractive.
Even Femshep is not immune to this. Look at her in her n7 dress in ME3.
They even gave her a larger boobs size.

You agree Ashley was changed, it was not soley updated graphics that did that. She was actually altered.

Jack has a less angular face with softer skin tones, her tattoos appear dulled, her clothes emphasise a more feminine figure and her hair is the most obvious change.

Liara went from child> believable adult > pornstar.

Don't know what to say about tali.

I'm not complaining they changed, I'm complaining people ignore their changes and focus on EDI.
Jack is actually one of (maybe even most) my favourite characters.

4.Yes, it does. She grows as a being because of the body. Note how EDI tells you after She gets that body the crew treats her body as a person, and her in geveral like a person with that body. She does develop dramaticlly because of the new perspective that body gives her.

1. Not quite. Cortana has been observed being very much like the person she was based off of. This is reinfocred by the fact that her hologram looks similiar and the same VA does both voices.
2. Yes it does. It's an avatar. That's the whole point, to interact with people. She could've just used ship speakers to communicated and forego the ball. Now sure, some people would respond better with a "human like" appearance, it's still not neccesary. Personally, I considered her a full being without the body.
4. What great characterization. You can't grow as a being unless you have a human-like body with a rockin' pair of boobs and a sculpted behind. This is why the body detract's from her character. Everything you said here could easily apply to just being active around humans in her previous form and ability.

You need to remember EDI took EVA's body. EVA was an infiltration droid masquerading as a human female, so lack of vagina would've been awkward especialy if she's required to do soduction missions. So, basicaly EDI is walking around naked.
The real questions are: how came nobody noticed that EVA's hairdo is made from a single solid piece of metal? Why didn't EDI put on some skin like EVA? Or maybe some clothes? And even if her skin is bullet proof, a little armor hasn't hurt anyone; so why does someone whose name is an acronym for Enhanced Defence Inteligence, didn't consider putting on a hardsuit for when walking into warzones?

Seduction can work without needing that particular body part.

Plus, EDI mentions one time in the club that the hair can act like seperate strands of hair, but she uses that form to provide an extra layer of protection.

They all have a copy pasta muscle body same as Mshep.  James is the only one with a different shape - total meat head.

EDI's body is female, i felt it a more appropriate comparison.

1. Cortana's level of think is the same, not persona.  It can be the same persona because the person she is based off is still alive.

2. Just because theirs an avitar does not mean the person would treat them like a person. That was the case with EDI in  ME2. She was treated like a part of the ship, not more like a person. When she got the body she was treated like a person.

3.It more like you can't grow as a person with out taking risks. EDItake that body was a risk being that she could of been regectedon a socila level because of the action. She took a risk to learn more about human and to be more human.

I haven't read all of that conversation, but Cortana in Halo 3 was handled way, way worse than EDI.

There's a scene halfway through the game where she's pleading for help and pretty much sprawling on the ground in a very suggestive position. It's also very uncomfortable how all of the characters talk about her like she's a goddess or something. The scene where the black guy dies and says "Don't ever let her go." is just cringeworthy.

It was awful playing though co-op with my dad...

Yeah, the men got more Brad Pitt sculpted bodies while the females got more curves. Just saying you got to look at it from both ways. The men are stereotyped as much as the ladies.

What i dislike about her body, is that it makes EDI to try to be something that "she" is not....that is a woman.

No matter what she does, EDI can never be female/woman. That doesn't mean she can't grow as a character, or grow more closely to Joker, but it doesn't have to be like a man with woman romance.

I don't get the reason why an AI that isn't human, nor man or woman, has to mimic one, including having a body meant to be human like.

If EDI ever was given a body, it would have been more interesting if the bodies design did not have parts which would have made said body look like a certain gender.

Thankfully bungie/343 has not given Cortana a body, and also have not given "her" a romance with the Chief. That is smart, sure Cortana and Chief do have a close connection (and from the recant halo 4 trailer, it looks like in a way, the Chief views Cortana as sort of a motherly figure to him) but they do not need a romance to expand or show growth to Cortana or John.

Sure i don't mind an AI that though isn't technically female, has a female like personality, but i don't think that personality requires said AI to take the next step and even be more like a woman, meaning having a physical body with boobies and ******, and being sexually attracted to men.

Just wish there was an option in ME3, that our Shepard could have denied EDI her body. Basically tell her that you just want her in the ship where she belongs.

Huh?

Also, she's sprawling because of being mentally abused by a very alien entity. It makes sense, you wouldn't like it either if something was trying to peel your mind apart like an onion.

2.Joker is not he entire crew.

3.:P...Edi would not be hacked because her Eva body is caught. She can just cut the connection to it.

Children mimic adults as a part of natural development, its only natural that EDI (considering she has been programme by humans to respond like humans) to want to mimic human behaviour.
Also gender development takes place at a very early age. children develop gender stereotypes very early on based on what they view as their parents or nearest parental figures response  to certain appearances.
EDI's nearest parental figure, or at least the human she spends the most time with is Joker. Think about all the jokes he makes such as about Tali and her suit. It's logical she would develop preferences in line with jokers tastes.

Or maybe its just as simple as it was the only body available for her to occupy.

As for Halo, Cortana is a mother figure for chief. She is based on Dr Halsey, the only other mother figure chief had.
Also while we are on the subject, Halo 3 ruined cortana. I prefer her in the books.

I distinctly remember playing through the level where the Gravemind speaks to you, and he says "Of course...you have come to find...her!." He says it almost reverently.

The hallucinations don't help things either.
