Same here I never saw what was the problem with them, they hid the loading screens and kept you in the game world.

It's because gamers weren't doing anything for ten seconds and they started to froth at the mouth and have a fit.  So they replaced it with loading screens that take just as long but give the illusion of 'progression'.

Kind of linked too, but I'd take one long elevator ride to cover the entire Normandy, than 5 minutely smaller elevator rides to cover the ship floor by floor.

ME1: Liara & Wrex - no matter if i was my Infiltrator, Vanguard, Engineer or Sentinel
ME2: Miranda & Kasumi/Samara/Legion
ME3: Liara and Javik - fairly well same reason as ME1 - Biotics everywhere

In ME1 especially, Lift was my most used power as it (especially higher ranked) would lift EVERYTHING, enemies, cover, random stuff - plus it was hax during final citadel mission in zero G. Favourite memory from ME1 was on Virmire, had a Krogan charging at me along a bridge, just before he got to me I hit him with lift and watched him go sailing by, off into the sunset, had to stop playing for all the laughing

you need to give Wrex a try. Then give Zaeed & Grunt a try together as your squadmates in ME2. You won't be disappointed. Plus Zaeed'd DLC is free.

I know the feeling.....

first playthrough of ME1 was Wrex/Ashley the entire game... I couldn't open up anything. So It's no wonder why I never had enough money to buy good equipment.

you should give Zaeed & Grunt a try together. If you spec Grunt right on his Fortification, he'll never die. Just keeping spamming it when his health is low "perfect for tough missions"
Zaeed is great for crowd control. let him throw his grenades and let Grunt to his Krogan Rage while Zaeed is holding Jesse[/quote]

yeah in all my ME1 playthroughs, I always had Wrex. I cyle'd through everyone (except liara lol)
it's nice to see how Wrex interract with the Squad. His the best dialogue IMO

i hate liara....

I'm no fan of Tali. But when comes to unlocking crates, Wrex didn't have the skills. And I was a Vanguard or a Soldier most of my playthroughs. So Tali came with me. She's good on the whole "Geth Incursion" mission. You can open up a lot of crates & stock up on $$$ other than that.......tali is just boring IMO. Wasn't a fan of the quarians. I like Krogans & Batarians lol

ME2 - Samara & Miranda (Samara was kind of like my credit card in ME2. Don't leave Normandy without her)

ME2: Garrus and Tali, sometimes Mordin or Grunt would take Tali's place.
ME3: Garrus and EDI/Tali. EDI and Tali got about equal mission time.

I've had many playthroughs of the first game, so I've tried out all the crew members other than Tali (I had to for the achievements), it's just that those two are my particular favorites. Never once have I killed Wrex in any of those playthroughs either. It's a shame that you can't have Wrex as a squadie past the first game, even if a temporary one.

For ME2 I had Zaeed in my squad up until I got Samara or Garrus, and on rare occasion I would switch Zaeed in whenever I was doing a mission that involved the Blue Suns, or possibly the other gangs. Felt appropriate. Grunt is alright, I have had him on my squad before, however in terms of abliities, I didn't really need him.

ME1 : Tali and switch between Garrus,Ashley,Liara,Wrex I never used Kaiden
ME2 : Tali and switch between Garrus and Kasumi
ME3 : Tali and switch between Garrus,EDI,and Liara

If Kasumi was a squadmate in ME3 Tali and Kasumi would be my main team

As long as I have either Kaidan or Jack on my squad I'm not all that bothered about the other, although honorable mentions to go Garrus, Miranda, Samarinth and James.

... Shame I never got a Kaidan & Jack tag team of destruction.

To get achievements, I picked two squaddies and stuck with them the whole game. My favorites were Ashley because she could kill the crap out of anything, Kaidan for his biotics, and Tali for any geth-type encounters. I'd typically sacrifice Ashley because I'd want Kaidan and Liara for the final battle against Saren. Continually lifting Saren/Sovereign made it easy. Only have one more achievement - using Stasis 75 times. I tend to not use it because, although it makes it so an enemy can't attack, you can't do anything to it either.

Liara/Wrex/Tali or Garrus

ME2: Legion/Grunt/Samara/Thane/Kasumi/Tali

Never really bothered that much with the other characters. Jacob was not useful at all, and I didn't need a Sentinel when I could just bring Samara and Tali who fill their niche's better and more efficiently.

ME3: Liara and someone else

ME3: well, in my one nauseating playthrough it was Garrus and Vega. Unless they forced me to take someone else...like the Fembot.

The dlc its self is free, but you have to pay for the cerberus pass which is basically the online pass. You cant download it without the pass.

yeah. I fear for ME4 will become a monthly subscription. You can almost see it going in that direction. I hope TOR was a perfect example of what NOT to do.
