Adepts in general. I am so busy shooting that I forget I am not that tanky and die without using any powers.
Also, Slayer.

BF3 soldier, no matter how many specs I try with him, never quite up to notch.

Pull to prime, reave to detonate. Repeat.
That's the only way I play mine, with some wepon fire mixed in.

That was fun in Silver, but Pull - > Reave loses a lot of potency Gold+. Especially since making it powerful requires so many ranks. I'm currently rolling a debuff Sphere/Reave Spam build.

I'm stumped. I've tried the max defense build, sucked on higher difficulties and impossible to use effectively in PUGs. The Pull/Reave build was better, but again, very little use against shielded and armored targets. So far this debuff build has been my only half-decent one and even that pales in comparison to even the standard human Adept.

I hate it when I feel like I just 'don't get' a kit.

you really should - the Paladin is one of, if not the most favorite kit I play even before the fire/cryo explosion changes. Nothing "beats" snap-freezing Reapers and bashing them to little pieces with the omni-shield. And Banshee-Warp? I laugh in your face, Banshee! *shieldbash.

I usually play her commando-style with a 6/6/4/6/4 build, offensive bubble, reave specced for area and damage reduction and passive with the assault rifle weight reduction. Equip a Harrier or Saber and let the fun begin. You have to know the maps a bit, where there are choke points to setup your bubble there or you just run around, prime with reave, walk up to the target and detonate with the bubble. Everything that still stands gets the Harrier-treatment. Had some really good runs with the Wraith, too when you don't want to spec passive all the way to 6 (this way you can run a more sturdy 6/6/3/5/6 build - I usually only use pull to "defuse" abominations and BE the general mobs, but for that a low pull rank is sufficient imho.

I'm the same way. I spec the Demolisher right, but I don't feel like my grenades do as much damage as they seem to do for other people. Ah well.

That's nearly how I've got mine. I chose more raw Weapon Damage for rank 6 of her passives since I wouldn't be using powers one after the other, just Reave over and over. I also chose Armor & Barrier damage on the final rank of Reave. I normally don't do this, since any damage resistance is good damage resistance when it comes to playing a Drell, but the Justicar's a solid gal. I didn't think she'd need it.

I'll take your advice about the map knowledge, and I'd like to know if that final rank in Reave was a bad move. Is that extra resistance noticeable?

I don't think that there is such a thing as a "bad move" when speccing Reave. Everything has its ups and downs.

I usually spec Reave Rank 6 not only because of the DR but because it deals 30% more damage to all targets/defenses and for a longer period of time, so your DoT increases as well (I think it stacks, but I'm not sure on that). I usually take the more general route (meaning damage vs everything instead of extra damage against a specific defense) when speccing powers, plus the combination of more damage, longer duration and DR was the key for me to spec it this way.

Constantly spamming Reave surely is a good general approach, but you should really try to get some BE's as well, especially with the bubble, on most maps you can lay out death traps with it - everything that survives the BE gets mowed down by the Harrier / Sabre :) And since she can take quite a beating - if the enemies won't tunnel, just walk up to the reaved ones, cast your bubble in front of them and detonate you BE that way.

I play a no-pull offensive bubble JA. You have to be pretty in-the-face of the enemy but watching banshees and brutes get absolutely torn apart in the bubble never gets old.

And if you're playing with another biotic...its explodin' time! Reave all the things, then have a Fury or an AA throw or a HS or a HA warp. Beautiful.

Anything that uses tactical cloak and/or sniper rifles. So infiltrators, all of them ;-)
