Well it's not so bad if you bring up the eyebrows, or brow slider, however then they look too thick. IMO anyway and the other similar eyebrows are too thin and you need to bring them up too high on the forehead to make them thicker.....Ordo_Malleus wrote...
Apparently sad people have thicker eyebrows?
WTB lucious curvy eyebrows.

I don't think default looks sad at all, just expressionless really. But its all in how a person see's other people. Different people see different facial expressions in different ways. I like to think my avatar (my first character for DA elf mage) has an indifferent look with a slight smirk on his face for a normal look.

Get them to talk. You will see some variety of expression.
/On the voice option in the character creator- click until you get a verbal response instead of the cry of a gutted bronto.

Tweaked a bit and now he just looks concerned, HOWEVER I am like 99% sure now that besides the eyebrows, its just the eye shimmer, it makes them look teary eyed. Waiting for portrait to upload

I put different tattoos on my dwarve, but there is a bug in the character creator and it changed to the default, and I like it more this way! so maybe it's not a bug, but an intrusive helper...

Half the expressions are useless (basically everything on the right). I mean the extreme right option is funny for the forums, but who'd want to use that in an actual game?

My gf also said they look depressed.. oh well.. it´s hard times the avatars live in.
Not only is your avatar hawt but it's perfect for the look I want my male noble to have.
On topic ... I think it also depends on the angle your person in the portrait is looking in. My second girl is kind of on the side and looking down a little with a smirk on her face.
This one, I just could not get anything half decent for her so left it default.

My Noble Rogue's pretty pleased with himself. It's probably a good thing he's not going to get crowned, he'd be downright intolerable.

Well, for a new character without a game to play yet, the default 'brain-on-standby' look is quite fitting...
