Hi everyone,
Quick question.
I always select an option, I think it's in BG1 UB, that is supposed to bring the mysterious vial question to a close.
I take the vial to Thalantyr (and the ore to Thunderhammer Smithy) and leave them.
However, after that, they don't ever seem to referenced again when I visit High Hedge or Thunderhammer.
I've tried finding Berrun Ghastkill again (to see if he'd heard anything) but I can't find him so I assume he disappears after he gives the party it's reward.
I'd like to play this through but don't know if there's anything more to it.
Anybody have a hint or anything. I don't mind a spoiler.

You get a little XP reward and some extra talk from Thalantyr and from Taerom. I think that is supposed to be it for this subquest.
EDIT: I checked my journal, and it says that Taerom thinks he can make less brittle iron from now on. Maybe the non-magical metal stuff you buy from him will (for the rest of the game) be less likely to break now that he has examined the tainted ore?

However, by the time that you do that, you have sufficient magical items which will not break. (Or at least I have the way that I play).
