No, the REDUCTION percentage increased, from a lower value, to a higher one.


I realize you've been correcting people left and right for misreading Eric's statement, but when I open up the HAWK  power list in-game the only reference to 40% that I can find is at level 4, not level 1.......   Am I missing some nuance of nomenclature?  

Evolution 1 is Rank 4 top.
Evolution 2 is Rank 4 bottom.
Evolution 3 is Rank 5 top.
And so on.

The Destroyer in Devastator Mode has the worst mobility & evasiveness in the game. The Health and Shields hardly matter if a pack of Collectors is firing at you, and you can only move at a snail's pace with no dodge.

The Destroyer was a very powerful CAMPING character. Now that numerous changes have made specifically to make farming more difficult, his value already went way down. These nerfs hit him even harder. I predict he'll hardly ever be used now.

Plus, like me, a Destroyer and Typhoon II user, with the mag nerf, killing enemies without armor, shields or barries gonna suck, with a clip with 230 rounds i kill about 5 or 6 enemies, and now with 25% nerf i have a clip with 172 rounds(i guess), i can only kill 4 or 3 enemys with it. Now imagine you're in a gold/platinum match where the are tons of enemies, and combined with the typhhon long reload sequence = death.

I'm pleased with my Valkyrie, Eric! Question though - is the passive supposed to be power duration, weapon damage and strength (powers screen description), or weapon damage, power damage and strength (in the passive tree itself)?

Thank you Bioware guys, really nice changes. No humour intended, I agree with each and every one of them.

About time you nerfed a bit the destroyer, honestly. And if you ask me, the demolisher nerf isn't quite enough.

Brutes and husks changes, much needed. Brutes were a joke.

Geth changes, appreciate them.

Drell changes, Bioware I love you. I've always been in love with my drells. I heard you would buff them and I was afraid you'd go the "easy" way and buff their health/shield. Which would have been pointless, since you go down in 3 hit on gold, and no buff could have changed that. But a buff to power damage? Thank you! I'm gonna rock those drells like no tomorrow!

Turian changes, fair enough. Anything buffing the old turians is appreciated, at the moment.

CE changes, thank you again, needed.

All in all, great balancing, in my opinion.

I'll state here what I'd like to see changed next week. Only the major things I guess, there are too many minor changes I could suggest. But the main ones are:

- Adjust dragoons. Not because they're hard, because they're ludicrous. Bring their speed back to a rate at which they don't seem to be a bad joke of Mother Nature. To compensate for that, if needed, increase their HP.  Other than that, decrease their spawn rate a bit. Currently on gold there are some waves in which you just seem to be fighting dragoons, not cerberus. Kind of kills the fun, sometimes.

- Fix Krogan Shaman's shockwave. Or whatever it is that doesn't make him able to detonate BE properly. It destroys the point of the character, pretty much.

And that's it. I thought it would be better to keep it short.
So, thanks again, and keep up the good work!

The string is incorrect, it should not say anything about power duration. The actual bonuses are correct.

HAWK MISSILE LAUNCHER: They should've made it less vague, but the shield penalty thing means the option for rank 4 hawk missile launcher is now -40% penalty instead of -25%. This means You get 15% more shields than you used to get if you picked this option.

IN SUMMARY: Hawk missile launcher now does more damage and can use up a lot less of your shields. BUFF

Again Bioware pleased the desires of the more advanced players, the destroyer nerf is totally unnecesary, now this character is a piece of junk . If the most advanced players search most dificulty levels, give them wath they want but without harm the less advanced players, nerf characters and weapons has no point. You are doing wrong.

Ok, I think I've got a handle on this.  My Destroyer, Tank (named after one Lieutenant Michael "Tank" Ellis, if you know the reference), will have to switch from rate of fire to magazine size and will get to keep his Hydra Missiles.  I'm guessing I'll be replacing the Typhoon with a PPR.... and then all will be mostly back to normal since I mostly just use the Crusader shotgun on him anyway.  I think I'll go brute hunting.  In the snow.

So much fail with people misreading the Hawk Evo 1 change :P

Shame I never got to try the Destroyor before the changes and my Demolisher isn't too happy, but my Turian Sentinel is happy indeed :D

A lot of fellow Palaven brothers will disagree but I don't need a roll, I'm too busy killing everything in my sights before they react.
All the buffs the Turians received the last couple of weeks made them a real viable option.

Thanks Bioware for caring. The weekly balance changes are awesome, I really appreciate the effort you put in these.

Thanks for making my only gold comfortable kit worse (Destroyer)  Sheild Penalty 40%??  Now if you want the HML system you HAVE to take the extra sheilds on Devestator Mode  (at least if your like me and take a lot of hits a match anyway)

How does have a greater penalty end up giving more shields?  Either I'm having a brain off day, or that makes absolutely no sense.

More strange nerfs from Bioware out of the blue. Dont really care what they do anymore now since I always expect bad moves from them every week. Just wish I could trust these guys to have a vision and execute it properly. You know, balance things before releasing it to the community. Have a little respect for your fanbase.

Thanks for the nerf on demolisher and destroyer (not sure which is favored by bigger humps). Please add two more, autokick demolisher after not firing a gun for 40 seconds, or after 40 arc grenades.

Two of my favorite kits got nerfed a tad, but I ain't even mad, bro. This just gives me reasons to try new stuff out. I gotta say though, all the new additional content, and revamp of existing content, have simply caused me to fall back in love with the MP. Thanks devs
