Okay, here's where BW's logic takes a train ride into statistic myopia.
Not a problem on bronze..Check
Not a problem on silver... Check
I have inferred from previous posts: that 60-70 percent of the player base, plays here. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. So to start with the; the changes are made to whack the the other 30%... Some may say this is the "hardcore"/revenue producing" population demographic.
Why go after this segement? If the end goal is more micro transactions... It seems this is the wrong demo to go after... These guys/gals love the game and will play the heck out of it for hours before they drop a nickle in to the slot machine of RNG.
Back to the train wreck...
BW raises enemy capabilities and lowers player capabilities in difficulties as difficulty progresses.
BY default, the most viable classes will rise in usage as the difficulty advances...
BW has given us many characters to play, for which I am truly thankful... However, not all characters are gold or platinum worthy, as the stats surely point out... Yes, there are people who take a Drell on to plat, but what's that .0001% of the player base?
My point is; BW has already given us unbalanced characters, that's why I would never bring them to a gold level game. Just because; I would hate to be such a burden on my team mates and frankly they are seriously under powered for anything above the recent silver level.
How do you propose to make these outclassed characters viable? By nerfing enemies?
By lowering the diifculty levels on bronze and silver so much that making the normal progession to gold and plat unbalanced(higher tier steps)?
So if you look at "just" stats, eventually every viable character at plat and gold will be "balanced"... It will only end when the higher difficulties are only played by .01% of the player base??? Is that the end goal here??? Seems a bit short sighted, if the goal is to expand the exsisting payer base...( I have a vested interest in the player base being expanded, I must admit, becasue I am a share holder in EA)

How does the Volus Adept suck? He great at what he does. Stop lower enemies in their tracks, increase all damage to bosses by 45%, and keep the whole team alive and constantly firing. He is my go to Gold character due to the dozens of I just want to shoot stuff players and my little Volus matches well with that.Grumpy Old Wizard wrote...

Indeed. Buff the seldom played characters and they will be played more. Most people don't want to play character that "sux" and if they do play them most stop playing them when the "new" wears off. Which is why the Volus adept will soon be a very rare character.

When are you going to fix the obvious flaws with this game? The servers, the store, the system freezes, the disconnects, the missing gear, the artificial grinding, etc.

I'm happy to see such a relevant point being made. Why bother weakening characters and weapons if there are still problems that make the game a chore to play? What happened to just enjoying a decent multiplayer game? Why decrease the potential of a good character, such as the Destroyer, while some powers and weapons remain so blatantly ineffective?
There should be no more nerfs until the disconnection, glitchiness and gameplay bugs are addressed. Otherwise bioware are only pushing people further away from the franchise.

Well, tomorrow is Halloween so my guess is that if the changes get delayed they may well get delayed until Thursday.
