Huh, interesting.  While we have you as an audience, can you clarify what the "hit reaction chance" is for the Hunter?  Without knowing what it means, I can't tell if it's a buff or a nerf.

no, you guys are reading it wrong. The shield penalty reduction was increased. That means taking that particular evo reduces the shield penalty even more now. So you have more shields while it's active.

It's totally a buff.

If you think the Ghost isn't going to get nerfed too you are delusional.  The Destroyer is still arguably the most powerful Soldier in the game.  Life goes on.

Why wasn't this done in gold too? Gold suffers the same problem of getting spammed by dragoons, it isn't fun, it is frustrating.


We are still looking at other balance changes, including some potential Gold changes for future updates. But we felt Bronze/Silver were higher priority since a lot more players play those 2 difficulties.

What was wrong with suply pylon? It spawned grenades only once in a blue moon and now it will just spawn them on solar eclipses.

A hit reaction is a stagger. Though I think you had to get headshots for stagger to occur on a weapon that doesn't have much base force, so I'm not really sure what it all means.

I'm a little confused..is this the 'stunability' of the Hunter, or is this why powers and melees pass through cloaked Hunters? Not sure I understand what hit reaction chance is.


This increases the chance that Hunters will get stunned.

So now Devastator mode only offers 15% RoF bonus just like GI/GE RoF bonus. And still they do not increase the RoF for Krysae.

Oh well... roll on Friday. I hope to god i get another valiant because the last 3 comm packs have been extrutiatingly painful (eagles and crusaders)


Why would the Krysae need a RoF increase?  It's a very good gun at the moment.

Thanks for clarifying that. It did seema bit silly how fragile they were.

By the way, I assume "hit reactions" refers to stagger and knockdown effects?

The Hawk Missile Launcher has a 50% shield penalty.  Taking the evolution will reduce this penalty by 40% additively, for a net 10% penalty.  It used to be a 25% reduction, for a net 25% penalty.

It's a buff.

Eric, now that the Rate of Fire bonus on Devastator mode has been decreased to match the RoF of Hunter Mode, can we please get a RoF INCREASE for the Krysae. I don't mind if it means nerfing the weapon's damage a bit to compensate, i just want to be able to shoot all 3 shots at an enemy before it kills me.

No Collector weapon buffs again? Even at level X, the Collector AR lacks too much punch to be used in higher difficulties, and the small clip of the Collector SR reduces its use against bosses (which Gold/Platinum have an abundance of). The Collector SMG lacks punch AND clip size, which really, really hurts it at lower levels.

Also, strange buff of Cryo Explosions. They were already godly with Snap Freeze. Oh well, I'll take it.

If you're replying to some of the posts in this thread Mr. Fagnan then may I ask just why the hell Dev Mode had to be touched? What possible reason was there to mess with a power that needed no changes?

The Destroyer and Demolisher need to be un-nerfed, everything was great, and I was happy until I saw these 2 nerfs, I want to strangle somebody now...

What I don't like:

- No weapon buffs. Would've liked something for Disciple, Typhoon, GPR and possibly Revenant. Wraith's fire rate and CAR are also somewhat of an...not sure if they're issues, but something to look at for sure.
- Don't care for an Asari Sentinel, myself, but I am prejudiced by nature. Shaman was just...a kroguard armored adept. Nothing really new there, so my expectations weren't too high. Anyway, need to test the AS before I give out further verdicts.


What I like:
- Brute buff. He never really was that intimidating, and one of the easier enemies to take out. Reapers needed a little buff anyway, this might be cool.
- Geth nerf. Anything to weaken those bastards = good.
- Drell Buff. Might actually want to try him now.
- Turian (old soldier and sentinel) buffs, yet again. I always felt like they should be more dangerous in the battlefield. They already are in the right hands, but this just enforces it. Turians are soldiers, and they're good at what they do. It should show.


What I'm not sure about:

- Cryo Explosion buff. This is more about the other combos than this one, though, since cryo explosion needed to be a little more effective.
All the tech power combos are now just...too similar, all in the grey area. They do pretty much same amounts of damage and the radius doesn't vary so much either.

I'd like them to be more special, to have their own character. To me, it's just the same thing with different graphics/sound now, doesn't matter what explosion it is. They used to have that little special feel about them. They didn't happen all the time, and when they did, they had more effect.
It's getting more grey and grey. Maybe buff radiuses/effects (doesn't have to be always just damage)?
