Especially when his approval goes -20 when he agreed on the thing that you did. Like I did something, and he was like "I see no other choice" and then crapped his pants back at camp.

I don't hate him but I don't like him.

He is annoying and wierd.

Whenever you have a female PC he falls in love with you when you are just polite and nice.
Even when you are with someone else.

He randomly gives you a rose and you politely say thank you, I am with someone else and then he sometimes asks you to sleep with him. You say no thank you and have to build his liking up again so he does not hate you and has maximum like. I always keep everyone approval as high as possible.

The person you are with does not notice anything.

I have a male Dwarf Noble Rogue this time and I am safe from Alistair, thank goodness.

If he was bisexual he would be a menace.

He still looks soppily at me though.

He is a nice person. But he is so wet and annoying.

And he is a Templar. I loathe and despise Templars, they should all burn.

I made a Which Character Are You In Dragon Age Origins on facebook. It was hard finding a picture were he does not look odd.

I never harden him. His responses were you can do the hardening responses are unfair.
He does have a reasons to be upset.

I always make him King because he is better than the b***h Anora. Anyone is better than Anora!

If I could I would kill Anora violently and fast.

I don't see why people like him.

I get the urge to do bad things just to offend him sometimes, lol.

I never have him in the party unless I have to. Which is never once you get Leliana, Sten and everyone after.

I know what you mean, I was trying to get with Leliana, and he pulls out a rose, and suddenly Leliana's asking me how he does at night.

I liked him until of the events at Ostagar, at which point he mopes helplessly, and waits for my character to come up with a plan, when she has been a Warden for a day, maybe?

Well, there wouldn't be much of a game otherwise... but you can help him get "tougher", as you probably already know.

That happened with me too.I had a female Dwarf Noble Rogue and I was seducing Leliana. It was going ok then I randomly spoke to him and he gave me a rose.

Then the next time I spoke to Leliana she asked how he was at night.

It trashed my romance attempt.

I started from the last save and avoided Alistair after that.

The romance still failed though. I went with Zevran after a point. I only managed to romance Leliana in this current playthrough.

I am in a Dragon Age Origins group on deviant art.com. I get every new picture, writing, comic etc submitted to the group sent to me.

I have come across some horrors so far.

They don't all scream Alistair Love Comic till you look at them, lol.

I concur with the sentiment. He is also self centered. He doesn't want to be a templar, but tell him you don't want to be a warden and watch disapproval. At the alienage, if you're an elf, gee - family possibly killed. No comment despite Duncan saying it'll be okay. And, if you are a female warden you get the delightful surprise that you could be made into a broodmother after the calling. Gee, what a thrill and joy. Criticize Duncan and it's your head though.

All I can say to this thread is "?!?!?!?!?!?!" Best....video...game...character...EVER!!!! He may not be perfect but nobody is, and he's pretty darn close by my estimation. But to each their own! Now I have to go back to my 3rd playthrough of the game as his love interest....

Alistair may be whiny over anything having to do with Duncan but I get along with him like I do my adoptive brother IRL. Total camaraderie between me and him. That and he is one hell of a tank. Admit it. The whiner can fight.
