First let me say this...the destroyer was not the only good
solder in the game!  I used him some and I liked the Turian better. 
Now with the buffs to Turian, that character just got even better.  The
batarian solder is one I never really used until the DLC(challenges) and I found
it very good especially setting up fire explosions with the grenades and using
the blades to get hunters out of my face then add the damage reduction of the
blade armor and it was a good class.  The human solder class to me is the
only underpowered class(for solder).  It seems like people only used the
destroyer or demolisher in the game and now are unwilling to use anything
else.  The nerf to the supply pylon does not hurt that much(I use the
demolisher from time to time) it just means you will run out of grenades but
not kill the class.  The nerf to mag size is also not that big of a deal
and the destroyer class is still very good.  I just don't understand why
people think a small nerf to ONE class kills an entire game.  At the end
this is just my opinion so take it as you wish but I got on the forum to see
the changes and I see a ton of threads about how the destroyer is ruined and
the game sucks now and wonder if the destroyer or demolisher was the only class
that anybody else played in the game.
