Just release your DLC as scheduled and let it be.

You cant keep tinkering forever and anytime you nerf something alot of people get angry at you.
Not a good way to keep customer loyalty.

For every point you earn witha  good balance change, you lose 10 for a bad one.  You can't win.

This isnt an MMO and doesnt desrve such scalpel-like alterations.

Quit pissing us off we already like your game don't keep misjudging our enjoyment.

Edit:  If this game had PvP I would be much less adament because player versus player requires this sort of attention.

If you're seriously arguing this point, you probably don't really understand what balance is.

I understand that over the 30+ years that video games have existed a minor portion of them get this detail of treatment.

Ask any artist..you spend too much time rethinking your past decisions and you ruin your work.

It's one of the things of game development. No matter what you do somebody is going to be pissed off at you.

Don't change anything? People get mad that their favourite character is terrible
Only ever buff things? People get mad that the game is getting "too easy"
Try to balance things with buffs and nerfs? People get mad that you "nerfed in a co-op game"

One of the guys over on the WoW forums has a list of everything that's "ruined WoW forever!" according to the forums. I think he's up to about 200 items on that list now, with plenty of things that contradict each other. People will never be happy.

Also it's high end competitive PvP(LoL, SC2, etc.) that needs the tight balancing, not MMOs.

Patches are one thing. Fixing bugs and broken mechanics. But the never-ending "balance changes" are non existent in most games even of this generation, much less the previous.

I agree completely.  Escpecially on PvP blancing.  They treat this game like its a PvP game for some reason.
It's cool they pour this much effort into it.  But couldnt they be focuisng resources on the next iteration?

Was it this silly after TC got nerfed?

Can we compare how many people shoved tv remotes up their butts between the two days?

I know a vast majority of console titles arent tweaked on a weekly basis for every week since release.

Borderlands is a great example of the developer not tinkering too much.  They do the occasional patch and thats it.  Its 4p Coop jsut like this.

Even as a PvE game it still needs balance, just that the balance doesn't need to be as tight as in a competitive PvP game. This game is nowhere nearly as tightly balanced as Blizzard likes to do things, even in WoW which has had plenty of major balance issues. From my point of view this is actually kind of nice as I only have to wait until next week, whereas if there's a glaring issue with my class in WoW it's not all that uncommon to have to wait for the next patch or expansion(though they have gotten quicker about fixing these things since launch).

Balance changes really don't take resources away from developing future content or the DLC.

And I got bored of it within a week.

I like the adjustments. Maybe don't agree with 'em all, but it's just a game. Overall I find the process to be adding to my enjoyment. Just my opinion.

Nope a Gearbox Dev said there are plans to "nerf" a legendary item because you could kill any boss in less than 3 seconds with it.

Don't you get tired of getting used to the environment just to have it changed on you?

i enjoy the anticiaption of seeing weekly changes just like anyone.  But every week, I miss the previous week more.

Even PvP games like CoD and Halo dont get gun damage buffs and nerfs at such frequency.  I feel like it comes down to the store and not wanting credits to be easily earned but I have no proof.

OP cannot exist in this game becuse real money is involved.

But along with that arent 18 different tweaks to 5 enemy types, 4 class skill power adjustments and nerfs and buffs to an array of weapons, etc.  The Bee shield in BL2 is argued as a game breaker.  Not just OP but pratcially cheating.  The arguement I am making does not take into account this level of change.

And the game has been out for a month now and it (the bee) still hasnt been changed because they arent OCD about their numbers.  THey know people have FUN with the shield and since they cant bypass a real money store system with the Bee, it isnt an issue in the grand scheme.

I hate balance changes too. Keep going Bioware, it proves you still show interest in the game and community. Dont punish non-whiners though. When you nerf something they love, they become whiners. Is this your ultimate goal? Create more whiners?

We already know they show interest and I love this game.  800+ games and 220 hours of multi alone.
Like I said, too much tweaking and you make a mess.  Just look at the forum topics right now.

if they stopped balancing things altogether, there would be endless amounts of people on the forum whining about how their favourite character or gun isn't getting enough love, or how they spend all their hard earned credits just to get crap characters or weapons.

People learnt to live with the TC nerf and the hunter mode nerf, they'll get over it.

Those are PvP.  This isnt.  This is a general point made earlier.  PvE doesnt need OCD balance.

its not any different here now.

My main point is this:  they have had their time invested in balancing.  Move on to ME 4.  Evern if it is just 1 guy tweaking numbers weekly.  Let him help with ME 4.

If they wanna keep balancing then make it a monthly change.
