No thanks. Why we have to nerf all the good character this game has? Why?
Because it breaks the game, for me at least. i have played with this new turian and have gotten so bad with so many other characters because it puts you in a lazy mindset. Literally while i'm playing with fury - "why play a fury when i can have infinite shields and boss decimating damage?" *switches back to ghost infiltrator*
There should be no character that is insta-win and the fact that this guy isn't ultra-rarity is even more confusing.
Then you are just plain bad. I play every character and every character has the ability to do well. Just because you get in a lazy mindset and have to use a crutch for yourself doesn't mean anyone else has to use it. I don't enjoy playing the same character over and over unless I am trying to learn its abilities and how I can play it, once I do that I switch to another character as usual.
So what you're saying is someone that's bad at the game can solo gold due to an insta-win button compared to someone who is good?

Don't get me wrong, the two classes they nerfed were two of the best classes on the game.
But i find it hard to see that they didn't catch the turian and geth infiltrators in this mix. Especially the turian.
I can totally understand the nerfs to the demolisher and destroyer but the ghost and the geth are way more of a problem than these guys. I can't go into a gold lobby now without seeing at least one other (and i said other because i have been playing him since release.
This thing gives me no reason to use any other character) turian ghost infily, never the turian soldier mind you. At least the geth has one weakness - he's fragile, but turian ghost has not a single one.
He's tanky with stim packs (more so than a krogan vanguard, which is sad). He does amazing damage with a cerberus harrier in his hands (and about this time, i'm pretty sure everyone has one). He can turn invisible........(not that he needs to). He has one of the best anti-shield powers on this game (not that he needs it). And insane mobility with the jetpack movement.
So in conclusion what we have now is a damn near immortal infiltrator the can avoid damage unbelievably well in the first place. And another that can kill anything before it even thinks about shooting him? Bioware i think you missed your shots here, but we'll see once the data pops up of the most used characters in gold and platinum matches. You've done nothing but stopped people from using the other tops and narrowed it down to two classes that will be played the most now.
I know they're going to get nerfed. With either bioware seeing this and looking into it or obvious statistics. Flame me all you want, but this post will repeatedly get bumped so bioware can hopefully glance this. By the way, can't wait to go back to platinum to see solely geth and turian ghosts.
First of all, I don't understand why they would nerf "the best of the best." We finally get N7 soldiers, you know "the best of the best" and now they are just like the other soldiers. You are okay with this.
Second, all of us should be punished because some people, including you, don't have the will power (or are just not bored with them or don't know how to use your imagination or can't figure out a way to make the other characters work) to play another character and experiment and master them. So, Bioware is supposed to nerf them so you can whine that you can't use them like you use to?
Third, I believe I know your problem if you can play the Ghost but not the Havoc soldier who is much more flexible and pust out much more damage (this is just going off actual maxium damage specs you can do to each character without adding any outside skill, guns, or teamwork) and did I mention much more flexible. This is kinda upsetting to me and my friends, most of which can play with the crappiest weapons and still out score me (only by 2-10k). We have fun but we play and learn and we make the game work instead of relying on stats to determine who we will play with.
You can be upset all you want but you know i'm right when it comes down to it, whether you admit it or not. And if you were so good with everything as you propose, you wouldn't mind a nerf to the top classes. Why use imagination and effort on any other class when i can be an idiot with one? Answer that question, then you have my respects.
Let me get this straight... You are sitting there and asking me, "Why use imagination and effort on any other class when i can be an idiot with one?" Well, I guess I would use imagination and effort because I am not an idiot therefore I do not have an idiot way of thinking. ; skills I have aquired over a very long career. Spec out of stim packs on both new Turians, run a Gold and get back to me. If you can make it through without dying, let's say six times, and do not come in last place, if you are not soloing, then I'd say there is hope for you yet. If not, I think you need to reevaluate yourself and not the kits.
Just saying...
So you can't answer my question? Yeah, i figured that before your response.
New question:
Why would i spec out of immortality when i don't have to?
Because you want a challenge? Isn't that what this whole thread is about?
You've missed the point of this thread obviously. And in defense of your turian infiltrator, you're not making any.
Oh and you still didn't answer my question.
Not to make a quote train, but I already did.
I will elaborate.
Original question:
Why would I use imagination and effort on a class when I can be an idiot with one?
Answer:
Challenge and Fun.
Fun: I find it fun to find the most effective or otherwise most entertaining build for classes, such as the Pyromainiac Krogan Soldier.
Tough to use, but worth it in big explosions.
Challenge:
Why do you play this game? To win? To prove you can win?
You have proven you can win, now would it not be fun to prove that you can win under less than ideal circumstances?
Challenge yourself. You have options, some better than the rest, but you can choose to have a tougher build that is more rewarding.
Melee Build Batarian Soldier comes to mind. Kishock and/or Graal. Put on blade armor for the lulz, spec fully into ballistic blades (explosion) and radius inferno grenades, and have fun blowing stuff up, impaling enemies with explosive spike shot from a wrist-mounted shotguns, bludgeon your foes with your weapon, and have a ball.
I get a lot of enjoyment out of that. Not as effective as a weapons-platform TGI, but a lot more fun and boomy!
Now, I am going to ask you a question:
Why use imagination and put effort into Gold when you can be an idiot on Bronze?
If you only want to stomp your enemies ruthlessly, why not go on Bronze and steamroll? Bronze is easier than Gold, and you are pretty much immortal, why would you go to something harder?
Why would you go to where the enemies can kill you more, when you can just power through Bronze?

Most of everyone's logic in their arugements is the turian infiltrator is new, he shares powers, and "i need an insta win button to be good at mass effect 3, stop trying to nerf him waah". I can agree with the power sharing arguement.
That is all.
Spec out of Stim packs and find out about his awesomeness on his bad side...

I admit the class is poweful, but trying to get the class "nerfed as soon as possible" is considered trolling, especially when the majority do not like nerfs.Optimisticalman wrote...
Ok, so what you're saying is that you can bring no relevant arguement to this discussion thread and the only way you can compensate your lack of data to prove me wrong is throw insults that does nothing more but show the sheer amount of children that are able to purchase mass effect 3 through their moms or even worse, you're a grown man-child that knows he's wrong and unwilling to accept other's opinions you display your immature behavior over the interwebs? Fair enough. I won't respond any further to your posts if that's the case.
There really is no way of nerfing the TGI without harming other classes in the process.
Overload - I really don't see how nerfing this would do any good to begin with, but again, Engineers and the Turian Sentinel use this power, so nerfing it will harm them more than it will the Ghost.
Tactical Cloak - It has already been nerfed, and nerfing this will hurt all the other infiltrators. The only thing that is different is the AR damage bonus on Rank 6, but its only 20%. Snipers on other classes are 25%. They could reduce it, but I don't see it being effective.
Stim Pack - This is where the nerf would be needed, but again, this affects the Havoc soldier as well, which that class is not the cream of the crop if you have played that character. The only thing I could see them doing is maybe cutting the amount of shields it restores, but again, it still won't help much even if they cut it in half, and hurts the Havoc in the process as stated. The stim packs are also limited. You have to run around to replenish them, or use Thermal Packs, which you only have 5 of in a match..
So really, I don't see any nerf going to this character. Bioware did themselves in when they decided to create a character with such power.

Very relative answers you gave me.
I don't play for fun. I play to win. Winning is fun to me. Do i deserve to have a insta-win button just because i like to win? You decide that. But i'd rather not. It takes out the fun for me. I like to win by earning it, not by picking some cheap character and mowing through all of the enemies on this game like they're paper. That's what difficulties are for right? A challenge and nothing less should be expected. But using this character, everything gold and down is moved to tin difficulty and that's just unnacceptable. At least lower the amount of credits i get for playing this guy, that would at least encourage me to play other characters so i can at least try to win.

Also, stop blaming the kit on your own laziness. "Oh why would I want to use something other than the immortal?" Because you have the ability to make your own choices. If you have fun playing the same character over and over and over then why are you complaining? "Oh you're missing the point of the thread." Nope. You're just someone who's looking for attention. I think the point is out there.
Also, the Kroguard has more effective shield than the Turian Ghost has. You also have to figure in the damage reduction from barrier. Just so you know.

Hopefully they'll find a way, hopefully. If not, i will play ghost infily til they come out with a stronger character and continue to make my undeserved easy credits. If i don't like it, there's other games to play and i will hold no prejudice against bioware for their decisions, it's their game. The Turian Ghost is an amazing class no doubt and he can turn an average player good or a bad player average because he has more survivability than pretty much any other character while putting out good damage, but it is far from an insta-win button unless someone great is playing it since most people will still end up dead half the game.

The nerfs given to him make him just an ordinary Alliance soldier. He is supposed to be N7, best of the Alliance soldiers.
The excuse they gave for nerfing Destroyer & Demolisher is just pathetic. If you require a new patch to fix weapons and grenades, do it. Other multiplayer games (even though they are PvP) like TF2 & DoTA 2 have patches often. Stop being lazy .

Are they gonna nerf the Krogan Shaman next? Hmmm? My friends and I run a two Krogan Shamans, a QMI, and either a demolisher or a Volus Engineer on Platinum. The Krogans are the death dealers while the QMI debuffs and helps with opjectives and the Demolishers helps with extra ammo and supports. Are we to nerf these guys now? I mean, they already nerfed the Demolisher, what's next? Oh and we've used the Turian Ghost before but concluded it's a selfish character. We'd rather run the Havoc cause he's more of a team player. Anyway, I guess all these characters deserve a nerf or does it mean you are lazy and probably don't even know how to use the Shaman, QMI, or the Volus.

You're wrong once again. A bad player can turn into godly due to this character. What is it? You and team arelex need crutches like broken characters to do your speed runs and solos? Yeah, i was pretty much guessing that.

The Turian Ghost is an amazing class no doubt and he can turn an average player good or a bad player average because he has more survivability than pretty much any other character while putting out good damage, but it is far from an insta-win button unless someone great is playing it since most people will still end up dead half the game.
Slim don't waste your time. You know he just enjoys trolling.
Wait, is this the same guy as before? Oops, leaving now...
It probably is.

You're wrong once again. A bad player can turn into godly due to this character. What is it? You and team arelex need crutches like broken characters to do your speed runs and solos? Yeah, i was pretty much guessing that.
How about we do a speedrun using the crappiest characters in the game and you shut up? Your choice. Any character.
