Which Dwarf Companion?

Why keep bringing people back? We heard there stories and know pretty much everything about them. Also last time I checked the fanbase starts hating companions when they return (aka Oghren or Anders)

Somebody new, hopefully from Kal-Sharok. I'd quite like a more serious dwarf this time around, since all of our vertically challenged companions thus far have existed largely for comic relief.
Jerrik Dace was pretty serious.

He was also as boring as unbuttered toast.

Isn't that the same thing?

Someone new, of course. But I loved all three, for very different reasons, and would feel like I was slighting the other two to pick just one.
Personally, I'm hoping for a larger dwarven presence in DA3 than DA2. With Kal-Shirok right around the corner from Orlais, it seems feasible.
From Dragon Age wikia:
In recent times, however, it has been discovered that Kal-Sharok miraculously survived the darkspawn onslaught. However, the few dwarves living there are said to be extremely reclusive and unwilling to re-establish contact with the rest of the world as well as being embittered towards Orzammar.
With far fewer resources than Orzammar and no access to the surface, Kal-Sharok has had to do some very questionable things to survive, and now they are changed forever.
I think Orzammar is a safer bet in this matter (and it's closer too).
Considering both cities are on borders of Orlais I'd say that really depends. Kal-Sharok is closer to Val Royeaux but Jader is closer to Orzammar so it depends on where our camp/homebase is doesn't it? I mean the no access to the surface is the biggest obstacle but that could easily be fixed by having the protagonist go through the deep roads for a week or three before actually making it to the city. Then from there on out they could learn the dwarves are trying to build/plot a path to the surface.
As for the original question I love all the dwarves but I would prefer a new dwarf or if I were forced to choose Sigrun though I'm not really a fan of companions returning unless they were temporary like Merrill. I'm with King Cousland though Kal-Sharok dwarf all the way.

I have a hard time imagining another dwarf will ever live up to his standard. Which is very very low. But most dwarves suck at limbo. No dexterity. Oghren didn't need it, he was so plastered he floated under it by the power of the bubbles in his stomach.

Loved Sigrun and Varric and would personally be happy to see them again, but returning characters are always a little more limiting (even when they're awesome) because so much of the audience has a pre-set idea of how they need to behave.

If we only get one Dwarven companion in DA3, are you hoping for Varric, Oghren or Sigrun? (Or someone new?)
And who do you think would win if Varric and Oghren get into a bar brawl?
Strictly from those choices, my answer to your first question is a close call between Varric and Sigrun, probably leaning towards Varric because, well, do I even need to explain? But, to be honest, I, like others, would prefer a new dwarf companion, if there is one.
As for your second question... Oghren has more experience fighting drunk (obviously!), but have you seen the backflips Varric's capable of? I'd bet my coin on Varric.

Why can't we have more than one returning dwarf? Let's have Sigrun and Varric (wouldn't they make an adorable couple?) together.

Would any of them be LI's?

I would flip for either one, but I want it to be both. Or a new female dwarf. Man, if you had a dwarf that resembled Kat from Alphas in personality, I would love her 'til the end of time. I loves me some Badass Adorable. Although, hell, that was Sigrun already, really!

Of the three on that list I choose Sighrun.
But in open voting I choose a sultry female dwarf as a potential LI. Let all the ****-chasers be forced to romance a dorf!

That would overwhelmingly awesome. Now I'm imaging a party consisting of them, Alistair, and Isabela. A group like that could snark the Archdemon to death.

As far as the bar fight would go, it would end up with Oghren smashing a bear bottle on Varrics head knocking him out. Oghren would then cheer then pass out on account of his drunkeness.

Someone new. We got plenty of Oghren in Origins/ Awakening.
As to the second question, I think it would depend greatly on Oghren's level of enebriation. He's fiercely strong and a berzerker to boot, but he's also a hopeless drunken sot and Varric's rather nimble, for a dwarf.

Oghren coooouuuld be a contender, but only if he's voiced by Steve Blum, you got lucky the guy who replaced Greg Ellis on Anders turned out to be equally excellent, but DON'T MESS WITH THE BLUM!!
