Loved Sigrun and Varric and would personally be happy to see them again, but returning characters are always a little more limiting (even when they're awesome) because so much of the audience has a pre-set idea of how they need to behave.

You get a cookiee for explaining what I meant in regards to returning companions. We're left with to much of an idea as to how our companions will act that when they are presented in a manner contrary to our original thought then we tend to rage.

Sigrun was awesome, and I hope she makes a cameo, but I want a new dwarven companion, preferably female. Imagine a female dwarf with an attitude like Branka, but not crazy.

I'd say Sigrun, we haven't seen enough of her, only an expansion. Varric was basically the biggest part of DA2 (He was telling the story), and Oghren was in the first game and the expansion... but I prefer a complete new dwarf companion... maybe a LI female?

All of them. In fact, all the companions in the third game should be a dwarf. Also, the playable character should have delusions that he/she is a dwarf and kills anyone that tries to pop that magical bubble. Enough of that nonesense, on a more serious note I think the new dwarf should be a new character, and female like sigrun. Sigrun needs a friend.

As for who would when the fight. I think it would come out at as a draw. Ogren would get mad at the dog for stealing his pants again, and chase after him while wearing the very pants he accused the dog of stealing. Varric will return to fonding his beloved Bianca and writing tall tales of his friends.

A Dwarf who made a deal with a demon to live a very long time. That way he could help piece together a lot of the ancient lost dwarf lore and why they cant connect with the fade the same way as everyone else.

Three of my favourite characters and I'd want none of them back, not as companions anyway I'd love to see lots more of Sigrun but thinking about it I'd rather have completely new companions throughout.

Need to bring in a dwarf like Dworkin, nowt like a bit of madness to spice up your explosives.

Maybe Shayle if she ever found her way back to being a dwarf with "an unusual fear of being squished". Sigrun was great too so wouldn't mind seeing either back in the fold.

I don't think a 7-10 year old will be useful in combat.

Oghren would, because he's not tactically limited to just one weapon like Varric is.

Seriously, if we get Varric back, we had better be allowed to change his weapon.

I didn't even see this question the first time around.

Anyway, would have to be Oghren. Bar-room brawls is sort of his forte. If given time to plan and prepare the battlefield, Varric would have it all the way. But a sudden, drunken bar fight? Oghren.

First of all, that occured less than 10 years before DA3, so the kid can't be very old.

Secondly, the "me" in this instance is the Warden, not the protagonist of DA3.

Someone new, but out the 3...sigrun, fully fleshed out. After that...Varric, thinking about it...DA2's companions dont match up to badly with any Bioware game i have played (Kotor onwards) I liked them all bar Merrill.

well thats something i cant understand, anders was whiny and annoying and super extremeist, isabella had personality but the only way i could ever keep her alive was to sleep with her. aveline is jdgmental and obnoxious, fenris is a weird magic warrior thing that barely talks and when he does its usually about how much he hates mages. sebastian is a preachy chantry is the bomb weirdo, merril is incredibly stupid and carver is just a jerk. bethany and varric are the only good companions maybe isabela too but i really hate the im gonna leave thing
edit: i should not need this but imo so please dont flame me if you loved the characters

Honestly, after they said the PC MUST be human, I lost all my hopes. Probably all the companions will be humans too...

Sigrun was definitely my favorite. Shale as a dwarf would be good too, but Sigrun was the best.
