^ You have to wait until sequence 12? Well, that explains it. Thanks!

I tried last night and you can get it before sequence 12, just enter the tavern and it will be there :)

On a side note: I beat Achilles' minigame! I'm kinda satisfied now, it was the last minigame I needed for the achievement and I feared it would take me 20+ tries like the one at the Inn.

Ahh, cool, I'll try for that chest tonight.

Bravo on beating that minigame! The only one I've tried is checkers, and somehow I lost. Very sad that I'd lose something like CHECKERS. I'm scared to try the other games. Heh.

I found that hunting cabin, and started The Man-Eater quest. I think I had over 20 bear pelts by the time I left that area. The first time I went to the cave, the body at the top of the hill didn't spawn. I tried everything I could think of, before finally looking it up, and realized the body wasn't there. Arrgh. I went and did some other stuff, then came back later, and it spawned. Phew.

In the meantime, I also found all of the General Stores in the Frontier. I didn't even know those were there, or that they don't show up on your map until you actually go inside them. Is it the same with the hunting cabins? When I found the one you told me about, I just talked to the guy sitting outside; I didn't try going in.

Just heard that Ubisoft will be releasing the Assassin's Creed Anthology, collecting all AC games including their respective DLC. :o

Amazon France already has a price and release date: EUR 150,00 - November 29th, 2012.

A lot of things don't show up on the map in this game until you're pretty much on top of them (and sometimes not even then). The icon for the hunting cabin started showing on my map after the first two missions I did for them (and it only showed that one, I still don't know where the other cabins are supposed to be!).

Right now I'm going crazy searching for the last delivery, courier and assassination missions. Where the hell are they? ç_ç

And about the minigames: Morris at the Inn in the Homestead completely destroyed me, I think that the game decided to let me win after 20+ tries just so that I would move on.
Fanorona was much easier for me (or the game was still afraid I would sit there for 2 hours trying to win... always a possibility).

That achievement to win a game of Morris, Bowls, and Fanorona on the Homestead is deceptively hard.

I haven't played AC3 today because I'm keeping up with the election, but still.

Indeed.

The saying "It's about the journey, not the destination." can be applied to Assassin's Creed with justice.

So can ME3.

I was more disappointed with AC3's ending than ME3's.

My friend felt that way. I felt the opposite. I was extremely pissed off about ME3's ending, yet I find AC3's acceptable.

Probably because I felt Shepard was my character and I defined him, while with Desmond he was never my character and he made his own decisions.

And that's logically sound - reminds me a bit of that topic on what defines the player character that popped up earlier. It's much easier to become emotionally invested in a character when it's designed to look, act, and think as who you choose to. Both of those endings instill speculation, but at least AC3 is written a bit more coherently.

Indeed.

I'm not sure if, at any point in the games, we are given a choice when playing as Desmond. Insomuch as a real, actual choice (not just if we access an email or chatting up Kristen Bell). I always felt more connected and concerned with the settings, characters and events in the past rather than the 'story' with Desmond in the 'present.'

So for Desmond to go off and do his own thing, regardless of how illogical or crazy it may seem, is still more in character with the games than ME3 was. Not to say it was good writing, but it wasn't nearly as terrible game design.

I feel the same but I saw the twist with the Catalyst coming by the time the Normandy first docked at the Citadel. AC remains to be one of my favorite franchises this generation and to see such wasted potential with Desmond and the questions they were too lazy to answer angered me. I still love the game. An ending won't stop me from purchasing DLC and future games because what I remember the most is the fun I had.

Yeah, it was Desmond's decision to make. Not ours, because we were never really Desmond.

With Shepard, ugh. Beaten horse.

SPOİLERS AHOY!
And Desmonds endings were always lackluster, heavy cliffhanger full with "dafuq just happened?!?" (stabbing Lucy in Brotherhood) moments. While "historic" endings are often good. AC3 didnt changed the trend great Connor ending, epilogue but ****ty Desmond ending.
It doesnt really bother me since i dont like Des very much( tough the missions we played with him in AC3 are awesome, especially the last one)

And there will be DLC and XP packs coming( ı always assume Brotherhood and revelations are just overpriced XP packs) which we will be playing with Connor so i think Desmond is not "that dead" yet. Maybe the other "precursor lady" saved his mind some how. (Sci-fi Non Dieing Characters 101)

Oh, wow. While rescuing Pops in the Abstergo building, on the upper levels, I made the rookie mistake of just running through the area, thinking that I'd be able to just get to the next area by blazing past the guards. That was sooo not the case.

Instead, I had a wolfpack of about 10 guards to fight off at once. Luckily, there were beams overhead that I could jump up to, to give myself some time to heal. The guards were apparently too stupid to follow.

Needless to say, that area took a little time, as I'd jump down to kill a couple, would get overwhelmed, then I'd have to jump up to heal, rinse and repeat. It was kind of ridiculous. Using the apple was fun, though!

That whole mission was fun.

Speaking about fun, Wolfpack Mode in the multiplayer.

Its cool. You work as a team of four to take out as many AI controlled enemies as you can in the best ways you can in a certain amount of time or else the game ends. There's a point threshold to be reached- if you reach it, you continue to the next round, where more points are required to continue and more time is awarded. To win the game completely you need to make it to Round 25.

Great way to make multiplayer experience.

Yeah, I loved the Abstergo mission. The only weak part was Cross' breakdown. That just seemed like a weak and weirdly timed cop-out of what should have been a better fight. But fighting the guards was great. I really enjoyed having to use all the skills I learned in the animus without having the floating icons. Just having to time counters in combat and stay in stealth without icons felt really good.

If/when there are new AC games, I would like to see a full game in the present, without the use of the animus.

Wow. I had no idea you could talk to your assassin recruits in the taverns. They offer up some nice backstory and reasons for joining the conflict.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

A nice easter egg comes from Duncan Little in Boston if you talk to him. Did you know he was the kid who witnessed Haytham killing the Templar at the opera house?

I think apple broke him down, you can see the yellow apple light near his eyes when he go nuts.

@happdaiz,

I pulled all the guards too but knowingly, just to see how good can Des do.

He did pretty well :)

Yeah, I thought that was a really nice call-back to the first mission in the game. I also thought the conversation with Dobby was interesting, because that might be Desmond's great great grandmother.

Been playing the multiplayer a lot lately. Wolfpack Mode is very friendly to those who want to relax and not play something too difficult.

Though I believe once I hit level 20 I'll be off to the singleplayer again.

I actually beat Fanorona last night in about 5 tries, which surprised me. When I tried it before, it only took a few turns before Achilles gave me the proverbial spanking, but last night I got lucky.  Morris on the other hand...dang. It's so simple in theory, but I kept getting my arse handed to me. I finally called it a night.

Before that, I finished up all the privateer missions last night (and got the achievement). Those are so much more fun when you have the ship fully upgraded, and don't have to worry about hull damage.

Hey, did you ever find your courier, delivery, and assassination contracts?

I did! I missed two missions in the Frontier (the delivery at Washington's camp and the assassination) and one delivery mission in New York (North-West docks). Don't have to worry about those anymore; next step: club challenges!

I also completed Kidd's trasure and the last naval missions I had: it took me like 1 hour to understand how to correctly damage the 3 ships in order to expose their weak points and 100% the mission.

And congrats on beating Achilles ^_^

^ Ha! I know what you mean about the weak spots on ships during naval missions. It took me a while to figure that out, too. Once I did, it was a total facepalm. It's so easy that I made it difficult. I should go back and redo those missions, to get 100%, but I'm not sure if I will.

Good lord, I tried that bobcat quest (Feline Feet) for the Hunting Society, and can't seem to get close enough to catch him. I backtracked, to see that I might be able to climb up a cliff face to where the guards are, to try to head him off at the pass, but kept getting lost.

The key to hunting the bobcat is easy. You will never outrun it, so what you need to do is having poison darts at the ready so right when she starts running at the start, you hit her with one and she dies. Then you can skin her.

I'll give that a shot, thanks!
