I loved this game! From beginning to end.

Can't wait to see how they handle Juno in the future.

edit: oh, 10/10 for me.

The game is good. Connor is kinda naive and his skills as a assassin need some improvement but i liked him.

But that ending was really lame, after five games Ubisoft gave Desmond a sh*tty outcome. Even worse, there is no sense of accomplishment(at least for me), you simply change one threat for another: from a solar flare to a thousands of years old crazy woman with enough intelligence and technology to make every human her slave.

On Sequence 9...with only a tiny bit of New York explored and a decent amount to still do. A bunch of ship missions and a few Pegleg missions to do...need one more piece of the map. Got all feathers and most locked chests. A few more hunting challenges to do yet, I'm guessing. Still working on the Homestead missions as well. Fun as usual, better by far then Revelations but still just a hair short of totally immersive. 8.5 / 10 sofar. I do like Desmond's missions and its cool to explore the chamber I'm in and find out how the ones who came before tried to save themselves...the specific methodology they used. Storing their conciousness in computers? Fascinating stuff. I liked the convos with Minerva.

Back at it here soon. Think I'm gonna be meeting up with Washington soon. The prison sequence and hanging was cool.

I do have to ask, what to people here think of Connor as a protagonist? I remember the developers saying they wanted to give more depth to the character this time, and making him a bit more serious. So did the manage to making him a well developed character? And was the antagonist memorable? And how was the overall story?

Sorry for the questions, trying to figure out whether to get this game or not, and these things I am interested in.

@Hawke. I personally liked Connor. The main antagonist is charismatic and a good balnce for the serious Connor. Connor's character really shines through in the optional missions called "Homestead Missions." The only bad thing I can say about the game is that the story is very slow at the begining. The antagonist sort of steals the show. Combat is superb, so is hunting and the various side missions. The Naval Warfare is absolutley brilliant. Hope you get the game it's awesome.

I'm only in Seq 6, so this is not a spoiler, but one thing that has confused/disappointed me is the apparent lack of recourse in killing.  Yes, I know the name of the game is assassins creed, but I remember the prior games having more consequence than just going around and killing everything that looks sideways at you.  In the past, you would try to create diversions to distract guards or use other NPCs to help be sneaky and unseen.  In this game, there just isn't much penalty or alternative for walking up and stabbing someone... which I don't particularly like.  For whatever reason, I feel like a serial killer in this game with as many baddies as I've had to kill; I'd prefer to be stealthy and no quite so blood-lusty!

But otherwise, its a good game; I'm enjoying it and it is a very good value game since there is so much hunting/collecting/crafting one can do for hours.

I like the game alot but dont like Connor even remotely as much as Ezio. Mostly due to his voice acting, which is terrible. He always sounds like he's reading from cue cards...badly. Aside from his voice, he's fine. Haven't finished the game yet so maybe I'll warm up to him more than I have so far.

The antagonist on the other hand is great. I won't spoil it here but really liked him.

There are more ways to kill people once your Brotherhood gets new members(you get them by doing Liberation missions.)

^ Yeah, I just have noticed that there is so much more killing in this game. In previous games, you would be more stealthy and reserve assassinations for select baddies. Now, its like "go into harbor and kill every redcoat". After you do, everythng is back to normal. In other words, there just isn't much incentive to do it ninja style. I hope it gets a bit more stealth later...

I also liked Ezio because of his growth as a leader while still keeping his boyish charm and sense of humour

The Problem with Conner is that he's too angry in the Main Missions, Either ****ing about the White Man, or in general acting like a dick to everyone (Also towards the End I got so sick of Hearing the Name Charles Lee because he never shuts up about him), I Warmed up to him more in the Homestead missions because he comes off more as a human being and less of an angry Native stereotype.
Ezio was a far stronger Character.

I also need to Complain about the last mission
YAAAR There Be Spoilers ahead Laddy YAR
So you find Charles Lee on the docks, and I'm like, theres a building near him, so I climb onto the building I take out my bow, Lock onto Charles Lee, and...I hit the fire button....I hit the fire button, Nothings happening. The game forces you to chase after this A-Hole through a burning boat, when I coulda killed him 2 minutes ago with an arrow to the throat.

I'm sorry...I loved AC3 so much, but Connor was a huge dissappointment. Ezio was a hundred times cooler.

www.youtube.com/watch A podcast with Noah Watts who voices Connor. It's interesting and shows another side to how Ubi selects voice actors. Spoilers for the Single Player story.

so this is a bioware site but whatevs... i really luv Connor hes so much better than ezio and altair (who i liked better then ezio) i just luved connors rightous anger and devotion to justice and freedom. and he sees that the colonists are not good people but stills fights for their freedom. also one of favorite lines is at the end when he goes after charles lee hes just like "i will kill charles lee" u can just feel his intensity and awesomness

A interesting article on how Assassin's Creed is growing while COD is stagnating.

Connor is ok. I liked Ezio and yes, the original cocky, arrogant, confident Altair from the original. Connor is sometimes dry, and a tad naive, but is likable and very athletic. Fun to play as. A good person. It feels he is truly an initiate to the order. I enjoy the story, but I play AC for the gameplay freedom. The mechanics aren't my favorite, except counter moves. Offensive attacks are useless unless its a projectile.

To me, Connor's VA is about as bad as I've experienced.  In fact, there were some moments toward the beginning of the game in which some female native american character (not connor) sounded like she was making up sounds with her Minnesotian accent.  I almost stopped playing the game.  From of story-perspective, Connor has a lot of potential, though.

This game is okay, but I'm truly shocked by how glitchy, silly tech errors, and other bad mechanics litter this game.  To me, it is glaring and I'm surprised it hasn't been brough up more often.  The horse back is laughable, leaping/climbing movements can be off, and its silly how whenever you are in a hiding place, all the redcoats are looking at you, but apparently can't see you... I agree the best part is just freely running around the frontier.
