Back in Brotherhood when multiplayer first showed up, I wasn't sure. Turned out to be alright.

Revelations had more and I didn't really invest too much into it.

AC3 is of course bringing it back, and I'll play it. But we'll see how much.

Kill enemies flagrantly and stylishly.

I like how AC3's multiplayer has several different modes.

Certainly gonna keep my attention more than ME3's.

I still don't like it, not my cup of tea.

AC will ever be a single player experience for me.

Thats what it is for me too. I'm in it for the story.

I like the multiplayer quite a lot.... when people aren't rushing around at top speed trying to kill everything in sight.... quality over quantity, simple as that. For example, in one game where I placed first I had 4 kills, 5 deaths and 5450 points. Second place had 10 kills, 6 deaths and only 3750 points.
I like that it is different from most other games in that it rewards you better for stealthy or creative kills by catching your opponent unaware.

How on Earth did you get that many points with such few kills? Stuns?

One kill was a kill streak, incognito, arial kill, retaliation and something else, can't remember what. That was worth 950 points right there. Plus, everybody was running around like chickens with their heads cut off and I could see 'em coming from a mile away. Had quite a few escapes, as well as a triple escape.(escape three pursuers simoltaniously) That was pretty funny.

Very nice!!! I always laugh when something like that happens. I mean, just how bad are your pursuers if there are THREE and none of them get you? Also, funny tip, if you've got a mike, the only people that can hear you are the one your after and the one following. One kid didn't know this and every time I heard him and he wasn't my target I knew who to look for.
Plus he'd give himself away over and over again by saying "oh, man look at this sucker, he has no idea I'm coming." *stun* "What the *******!? How the ****** did he know I was after him!? I didn't do anything to give myself away! He must be a **** cheater!"
I could barely play the game I was laughing so hard!

So are they gonna require a client for this? I'm somewhat tempted.

I wouldn't know anything about that. PC version comes out later, right?

PC version will require you to run Uplay, which is Ubisofts version of Origin/Steam. You'll have to run this even if you bought it through steam (as I just learned with PC Revelation)

Eheh, something similar happened to me too. Once there was a guy that killed like 15 targets, but most with the pistol: he didn't even break 2.000 points.

I liked the Simple Deathmatch mode in Revelations without all the abilities, because a) everyone was at the same level and B) they all understood rather quickly that running around isn't the best strategy.

However, I'm buying the game for the Single Player: the MP is fun and all, but it's not something that holds my attention for a long time.

I think this time we gonna need Uplay only for MP part. Ubisoft told a few months ago that they are dropping(there will be minimal amount ofc like online activation) DRM for singleplay after all negative reactions they got for Uplay.

BTW i really like ACs multiplayer, its really tense and rewarding patient players. Had a few heart attack moments while playing it :)

one of these days I'll finish Assassin's Creed II. I'll probably get III, though I haven't played the first AC or anything like Revelations.

I'm hoping the connection and matchmaking for the mp is better than in revelations. Half the time I couldn't stay connected and if I could find a match everyone would drop out part way through.
It was a shame cause the death match and corruption game modes were pretty fun.

I was really lucky in that regard: I had much more trouble with Brotherhood (finding a match could take as long as the match itself).

Anyway, I'm trying to understand if there'll be Simple Deathmatch again, but all the previews I found are talking about the 2 new modes :/

I think they usually spend more time hyping up new stuff that's being added to the mp. But if you play for long enough all you seem to only find is manhunt or wanted games :\\
The matchmaking in revelations (and I think brotherhood) had trouble if you were in a xbl party, it would try to match you up with a game that also had people in a party. It worked better if you were just playing alone and looking for a random match.

Hehe, great videoImage IPB.

I've pre-ordered it so I can't wait to pick it up.
I'm also going to play the multiplayer a bit, I liked it in the previous games because it is something different from all the other multiplayers out there. Stealth and reservation pays off.

The only thing I dislike are the guns and muskets and I think they are going through the years waaaay to fast, but they make a lot of that up with the amazing sceneries and gameplay

Yeah, finding a match in Brotherhood was a disaster. That took minutes for me every single time.

AC 1 has the best written plot in the series so far, imo. You're doing yourself a great disservice by not playing through it at least once. Also, Revelations is easily skippable; unlike BroHood which is essential to the modern day story with Dezzy Boy.

Wednesday it seems so far away.

But has anyone seen the first hour of gameplay, I thought we were playing as connor?
