Since it has been confirmed that the Maker exists, I will be sticking with the Templars from now on. Leliana being ressurected proved that.

If you chop her head off after defiling the Sacred Ashes, she still returns in DA2 as if nothing happened. One of the developers said we would get an explanation for this, though. But since ressurection is impossible (its in the lore), the Maker had to have done it.

I was wondering, considering I've got all the books and comics as well as the games.

Templar.

Mages showed at the end of DA2 they're hopelessly moronic - and I saved more mages siding with the Templars than I did with the Mages.

Are you talking about what Anders did or What Orsino did? Anders did what he did because he wanted to destroy any chance of compromise because honestly it isn't compromise when one party is making all the rules. As for what Orsino did, when your back is against the wall you'll do some crazy ****. I don't think they should have had him resort to blood magic if you sided with him however, that kind of annoyed me.

Nah - Anders is a whole different kettle of fish and exists in his own moronic world.

Orsino is one of many moronic mages that in order to protest against what people were afraid they would do....they did what people were afraid they would do.

Regardless - when I sided with the mages - I was like - What Da Fuq are you all doing??!?? I'm trying to help you!!??

Templars left more mages safe and sound and intact by dictating to the templars to spare mages who were good. So I'll play a pro-templar that wishes to introduce much more lenient mage life styles.

They were made tranquil, that's what happens when you "save" someone during the right of annulment.

Well that makes the pro-templar ending even sadder, Bethany would be tranquil then

Oh, I didn't see you mention Leliana. I thik that's more due to her being canonically alive in the lore, and being a main character, considering the option to defile the ashes is little more than a method of unlocking the reaver spec (at least in my eyes, anyway).

Kill Leliana in DA:O, and see what happens when you import your save into DA2. Then tell me it didn`t happen.

The devs said it wasn`t a retcon at all, and that we would get an ingame explanation for it. So it had nothing to do with her being a main character.

Flemeth managed to circumvent death without any apparent divine intervention. Demons and Fade Spirits have been shown inhabiting corpses.

We have no definitive proof that Leliana even actually died.

If Lore is the opposite of fact, whats the point in having it? It says in the codex that my Warden defeated the Archdemon. This is the opposite of fact, is it?

Leliana being decapitated is a pretty good proof.

Flemeth managed to avoid death, true. But there are still alot of theories out there arguing that she is actually some form of god, so...She doesn`t really count (not untill we know what she is for sure).

If a demon inhabits a corpse, its not a pretty sight.

Fade Spirit. I will give you that one. Or the spirit of Andraste, maybe? I doub the latter one though. Too much of a plot twist for the very few of us who actually killed the lady.

Which doesn't prove the Maker exists. Wynne also died and came back to life, after all.

Wynne didn`t get decapitated. And Wynne allready had a spirit inside her. A lifesaver allready in place before disaster struck. Leliana didn`t have that.

This is the same franchise where Anders and Justice met, even if Anders was never recruited and Justice was killed in the Dragonbone Wastes. Rectons happen.

Actually, the Spirit brought her back from the moment of death, before then it was simply watching over her.

I don't think that the ressed Leliana (links to where the devs said this stuf would be cool, bvtw) is gonna be the maker or andraste, I agree that it'd be quite a stretch.

As for Flemeth, I am wondering myself if she may be a god, maybe she was an old god who fell from grace/was cursed to humanity and is trying to get her power back, hence the whole plan with Morrigan making her demon baby with Alistair/Loghain/the Warden.

Pro-Templar. I can't believe that all these punk ass mage supporting sheeple in Thedas won't read the writing on the wall. When the Maker sent the abomination Anders to slay the the heretical mage appeaser Justine, he sent a clear message to his children; that he will tolerate their apathy toward the control of mages no longer. The Chantry teaches us that magic is meant to serve man, not rule over him, and the Maker will not forgive his children for failing to uphold this law until the last unruly mage is subjugated.

If you side with the Architect without persuading Justice, he'll fight The Warden.

This, oddly enough (according to the timeline) happens around the same time as when Hawke and anders are in the deep roads.

How does that even work when you have Anders with you in Awakening? O_o

Maybe to create the sense of a fully-realized fantasy universe with its own history and mythology? Why does Skyrim have multiple editions of 'The Lusty Argonian Maid'?

It says in the codex that my Warden defeated the Archdemon. This is the opposite of fact, is it?

Not all 'lore' is in the Codex and not everything in the Codex is 'lore'. Not all facts are in the lore, and not everything in the lore is fact.

'Lore' is a term that refers specifically to a collection of traditions, beliefs and stories. It is 'knowledge', but it is not necessarily fact.

Leliana being decapitated is a pretty good proof.

It would be, if you could prove she was decapitated, which you can't. Bioware has officially stated that in-combat death animations are not evidence of anything. Zevran can be decapitated when he ambushes the party, but in the very next scene, he is in one piece and very much alive.

Flemeth managed to avoid death, true. But there are still alot of theories out there arguing that she is actually some form of god, so...She doesn`t really count (not untill we know what she is for sure).

Or the 'gods' might all be some form of Flemeth, or just very powerful mages generally, or some other sort of being entirely.
