A quick question for users here. I have for my personal use a Dell Precision M6300 Workstation that was gifted to me. The specs are as follows, courtesy of DxDiag:

Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 @ 2.0Ghz
2 Gigs memory (no idea what the speed/type is off top of head)
NVidia Quadro FX 1600M 256Mb(comparable apparently to a 8700M) with drivers from June that have been working well
80 Gig hardrive, no idea about speed
Windows Vista SP1


I realize the video card is bound to catch some flak, but realize that:

1). It has been able to play most of the recent releases on acceptable settings (for me, medium-low with stable framerate is fine)
2). It can't be seperated from the motherboard/ otherwise replaced
3). I am not building a seperate desktop for gaming

Having had a chance to check out DA:O on youtube and the like, I am finding that I would be interested in playing. What can I expect with a system as described above?

I guess the game will run atleast, how well I don't know, perhaps someone that has a similar laptop and can tell you. =)

But then it comes down to what they have running in the background and how they configured it, if they're running windows xp, vista or win7 etc.

It should run. DAO isn't that heavy on graphics like most newer games. Expect to run it on lower resolutions though.

I plan on picking this up as a disk (as opposed to Steam/D2D download, Yikes!)



That is, once the roads around here improve somewhat.

It will probably run but not well. But try it you never know till you install it.
