I love the Destroyer nerf, there's finally a reason to play the Turian Soldier again. It's like we got two new classes today.

And the nerf isn't even that significant tbh, I barely saw any difference.

They were not overpowered in anyway; they were fine with where they were at and how they performed. Also, I don't think they were used the most simply because they were the most effective. I believe they were used because they fit people's playstyles better or were more aesthetically pleasing. I don't think using a character is an indicator of skill level. 

How does using the Human Male Soldier make one more skilled than using the N7 Destroyer? I'd say that was a childish claim if you were actually serious. I still prefer the Batarian over the Destroyer simply because the Batarian is my Go to soldier for fitting me aesthetically.


This is what bothers me. With a Destroyer I could get myself like 85-120k points a gold game pretty easily. But I can do the same with a Drell Adept, a Geth Engineer, MQE, AR soldier, Batarian Soldier, Justicar (the only classes I can never make work are the Sentinels) etc. which are "balanced" classes I suppose. Even using a GI or a Ghost I still always score the same abouts.

I guess maybe it was a pinch easier with a Destroyer to sit behind a wall and right hand advantage your way to victory but if you get flanked by some fast units like Phantoms, Hunters, Dragoons, hell even Marauders you were kinda toast since you can't move worth ****.

I have to admit, I was quick to dismiss this thread at first, but after seeing the actual nerfing that had taken place with the N7 Soldier and Engineer.. I'm inclined to support this endeavour to get them unnerfed, for what they do [Devastator Mode, Pylon] the nerfs seem quite significant, considering what they originally were [though it is no suprise that there'd be at least 'a' nerf down the road].

But the main 'selling point' [some if not most may feel compelled to argue this] of those two classes are the very abilities that are getting nerfed once again, I'd love to see them restored more closely to what they originally were [or at the least, have these latest debuffs reversed].

SideNote: I'm genuinely suprised that by using the word 'we' in your OP, that someone didn't jump on you with the "so you speak for me now do you?" banter........ but I may have missed it. ;>_>

That's the dumb thing to say. I wouldn't play the turian soldier if they gave me 10 blacklisted guns for free, by just logging on it. The destroyer and demonlisher weren't overpowered or in need of ANY changes (except buffs) and I want them back to how they were. Also, if they have any plans for any other N7, and to nerf them, DO NOT to do that. Also fix the shadow strike/atlas issue for the Shadow, already.


also when anyone uses "we" and phrases like "unnerf the x" or "I don't like the nerf to (whatever class)" they can speak for me. I hate developers who nerf. I absolutely hate that kind of development. It's not professional and it's just lazy. Besides the fact these characters didn't need to be nerfed at all, nor do any of the other human characters.

There still isn't any reason to play a Turian Soldier. No power syngergy. Until you can fire a Proxy Mine from Marksman the class is pretty garbage. Having any kind of a weapon that packs a punch on that class makes your cooldown just slow enough that you only get like one second of Marksman in while the proxy debuff is still up.

I couldn't make the Destroyer work for the life of me....., but I can make the Human Male Infiltrator work all day. I don't see these nerfs as necessary. There's NEVER even a valid reason with factual evidence as to WHY they do these changes.

What good is telling us if we don't have the facts to understand why the changes were made? That's what pisses me off. Show me factual proof that these two were superior to EVERY single other character; it even sounds ludicrous to say.

You guys love to whine about nerfs too much, and never talk about the buffs.

I've played right now a gold match with the destroyer and toped the score with >120k (thypoon II, a "horribly nerfed" weapon) and it's not a class that I play much. The rockets were buffed, btw.

I will play demolisher soon and I am sure it's not going to be so terrible, it's just you love your scratched longplays.

BW is going to keep nerfing classes that are played 99% more often than others because the game doens't work that way.

Destroyer needed a nerf. There's no real reason why one ability, which never has to be deactivated, gives you stagger immunity, extra shields, extra weapon damage, larger magazine capacity, higher RoF, and a potential weapon accuracy bonus all at the same time.

The supply Pylon nerf, on the other hand, was completely unwarranted on the basis that it is stuck wherever you put it.

I loved having a third shot for my wraith and raider with devastator mode on, but now that's ruined. The nerf is total BS and NEEDS to be rebuffed to its former glory, or at least to 50% mag size so I can have a reason to use the wraith and raider again.

Having really poor power synergy doesn't negate the fact that the TSoldier has the highest possible RoF and Accuracy bonuses in the entire game, along with great starting encumbrance and todays buffs to his weapon damage passives. Please don't confuse "I don't enjoy this class" with "this class is no good".

No. Bioware explained that the Destroyer nerf was so that they'd have less headache creating weapons that would be good on every character, rather than either too powerful on the Destroyer or useless on everyone else. I want good weapons for all my kits rather than a second longer firing on my Destroyer.

Demolisher was barely nerfed.

Stop being so histrionic. Neither of these makes that much difference, calm down and grow up. This is seriously not worth the tantrums some (not all) people are throwing.

 Signed. Neither nerf makes sense, but the demolisher nerf is even more so. Spamming grenades is her power, her only power. Why would you nerf her ability to use her signature power. That's like giving each biotic a base 20 second CD.

I don't play anything but human and n7. I don't care what's popular to the farmers, it's what I like and also what worked for me so that I could actually play the game. They gave me choice, I go with human always. I wouldn't have even bought the game if it was aliens in multiplayer. So forget bioware's kid version of game balance. I don't want them nerfed over something as lame as popularity. The game works how I play. Again, I'll never play their poorly designed aliens, EVER. 

We shouldn't see nerfs on them - we are fighting AI. Why do they even care? Freaking sick of bioware nerfing stuff, especially things that don't need it. All the aliens characters in the ME universe can go to  hell too, I will never play them, and try to get them murdered in singleplayer if I ever touch that again. I was going to buy Omega but not now.
