This might be odd, but before I was getting constant game crashes in ostagar and denerim. Keeping up with some things bounced around the forum I decided to try something to fix it. I downloaded the latest beta nvidia drivers for my graphics card (195.82) Then I cleaned all the dust out from inside the hardrive case, just to make sure there wasn't any heat problems, Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I deleted saved games and everything. Patched back up to 1.02a and redownloaded all my content, and surprisingly I haven't had the first game crash or long load time in 8 hours of continous playing.
I don't know what fixed it for sure, it could have been the beta drivers I installed, or just a simple reinstall of the game, or maybe even just cleaning out the dust from inside the case, but so far the game has run quiet with no lag whatsoever. A lot of people have had problems maybe this will help.

It's probably the drivers that fixed it though because I have ATI.
