@BouncyFrag: Well - I'd be using it against Tevinter mages - and very happily.

My PC: "Best mages my ass!" *Mana Clash*

Mana Clash?  You mean Mana Crash

As in DAO crashes to desktop whenever I cast it Posted Image

Sounds like somebodies pc needs a little blood magic. That should clear things up.

Yeah, because it's all fun and games until someone uses a blood magic ritual to breach the veil and invade heaven. Destroying it in the process and dooming the world to repeated invasions by hordes of tainted monsters.

So says one religion :P

The mages need to rise up and dominate the weak, taking their rightful place as the rulers of mankind. By forming the next Imperium, the mages can bring an end to the years of warring that has plagued Thedas, form a united front of human nations to fight the qunari and send aid to the dwarves to destroy the darkspawn.

Magic is meant to rule over man and never to serve him.

They were ground zero for the First Blight, suffered Andraste's Rebellion afterwards, endured 2 exalted marches, survived a full scale Qunari invasion thanks to the rest of Thedas, are currently fighting the Qunari despite a treaty between the Qun, and Thedas few centuries ago. The Imperium is like the Energizer bunny or the little engine that could.

Corypheus one of the magisters who did so implied that they were infected by the Golden City, but the Chant is false in assuming the magisters tainted the Golden City as it was the other way around, and the verdict is still out on the Maker punishing everyone.

twice, if you count the mess in seheron.  more than that, if you count the couple of times a blight steamrolled them untill they were almost wiped out.  (the first blight was particularly nasty for them, i hear.)

BUT...

even the maker's wife couldn't bring down minrathous.  and the rest of thedas couldn't exalted march them out of existance after the schism.  they're the oldest living nation/culture in the lore.  orlais, nevarra, antiva...even the anderfels...all very, VERY young by comparison.  they've got to be doing SOMETHING right.

The Tevinter Imperium has existed for over 2000 years already. Which other state has endured for so long? When you look at it they are the most stable power in all of Thedas. If the stories passed by slaves and chantry propaganda were true Imperium should be in ruins right now. A place of such horrors, corruption, blood magic that exists for 2000 years, seems legit.

whoa, back up a step.  i'm not saying they're bunnies and sunshine up there or anything.  propaganda always holds some truth in it, no matter how little or how much you spin it.  so there has to be some SINISTER sh*t going on up there.  i'm just saying they have to have some good qualities too, as well as a HIGH level of cultural adaptability, in order for them to have been such a major player for so long.

This does sound like a fun option, though I have to wonder if some of the previous posters are enjoying the prospect a little too much...

Tevinter FTW! Since people don't want to live in equality with mages they deserve to live under them.
Tevinter, all my support!
Hopefully they will push their politics aside, and welcome and unite with all the willing mages from the broken circles, for the better of all mages.

I want this. I want this soooooooo bad. If mages organized, decently, they could make the Tevinter Imperium great again. Beyond great even. And kick the Qunari back to wherever it is they came from. Plus think of the advancement if magic could be studied without Chantry supervision! Vote mage domination and vote for PROGRESS! XD
