If I could somehow get rid of slavery, I would definitely support the Imperium.

That would never happen, the Tevinter's economy would crumble without the slave trade. Which is why they should all just submit themselves to the Qun. It's only logical.

Yeah, because it's all fun and games until someone uses a blood magic ritual to breach the veil and invade heaven. Destroying it in the process and dooming the world to repeated invasions by hordes of tainted monsters.

Look, I dispise the tevinter magisters as the next guy (who likes slavers?). But that is just anti-mage chantry propoganda...

Erm, no. Mages submitting to the Qun isn't logical, unless thy are masohists.
Tevinter should wipe the Qunari from the face of Thedas.

You think everyone in Tevinter's a mage? They're still the minority, it's just they're the ones who hold the power. If everyone BUT the mages left Tevinter and joined the Qun, what would they do?

Be a free little nation of mages? Sounds nice. But that's never gonna happen, people will never leave mages alone, and if they don't they either 1) Kill mages / imprison them in circles. 2) Become mage slaves.

That is such a strong term. We like to think of it as a life-long indentured work study contract.

Exactly! Slavery only sucks if you're not the one doing the enslaving! Muwahahahahaha!

(I'm going to hell for that one.)

I would make a templar supporters thread but after seeing this one I fear what some people would say.

To be honest I don't like slavery, but people in Thedas seem to be okay with that so..

If you find one, let me know.

Edit: In fact, let's extend that to any thread involving compromise.

While I do admire the tenacity and effort the magisters of old put in to physically get to the fade, the practice of slavery, and not only slavery but the sort of blood cattle one would expect from a vampiric clan, is abhorrent.

I do prefer Tevinter to the Qun, however.

I think there's little to choose. The only difference is that the Qun actually works at being equal, and mages are at the bottom instead of the top.

^ The Qun is followed primarily by Qunari. I cannot stand for horned devils that do not respond to rock challenges.

Absolutely, and for those who have the fortitude and submission to survive our.....hmmm.....vigorous "training program," they may be given generous awards. We once had this broody fellow to whom was bequeathed markings of lyrium on his skin that granted him the unnatural ability to phase through solid objects. Poor Danarius was so upset when he ran off.  We in the Imperium were delighted when the good Champion of Kirkwall showed the malcontent the error of his ways and returned him to his rightful lord and master.

We are more than happy to eat our own as well, as I too have a fine new goblet, thanks to Danarius. Him not being able to keep his own house in order was a troubling sign of weakness and.....well, I did so much want that nice corner laboratory of his.  Everything worked out for the best and that broody chap keeps my robes and instruments so nice and clean. We did have to something about that sharp tongue of his though......

They'd respond. "... you think the Qun demands that I what?"
