* Any hope of getting any closure to the Destroy ending has been dashed.

* I've observed uneven handling of complaints in the forum regarding name calling.

* So some of us have gone elsewhere to discuss things where we can do so more freely with no censorship.

* And quite honestly I really don't care that much other than from an amusement standpoint at this time.

* Whining? I'm not whining. I don't care.

As far as the game goes I simply don't consider ME3 canon. You guys can. I treat it the same way I treat Alien3. I ignore it in the series. Shepard's story arc ends with LotSB. I'm fine with that. If they resurrect Shepard in the future again I might take a second look and see what happens.

Not a bad plan.

ME2 was an awesome standalone game.  ME1 was great for its time, although I find it kind of unplayable now.  ME3?  Never happened.  LALALALALALALALA.

This amount of traffic really isn't unusual; it's about what it was at when I first joined this forum last year.

 What sub forum were you browsing? It certainly wasn't the ME2 forums.

The ME3 forums, although back then the only ones open were general discussion and characters (which is now closed because of the Miranda fans, lol).

What exactly happened? I thought it was odd that the character forum is locked for this long.

EDIT: Nevermind. I should've read the whole thread before asking.

Get that sarcasm detector checked.

I do appreciate the implicit admission that the people who liked the endings are the real "vocal minority," though. Thank you.

And when did I state that we were the vocal minority?

"implicit admission"?

I take look few times a day, for any Omega DLC news, but there's also a good laugh here, I wonder it the tea time thread got locked, it was so awesome like Wrex's tea party last year.

Most people who play Mass Effect 3 don't tend to come here. For example, I used to play WoW, and only around 1% of the population visited the forums.

Forums are a small, but vocal minority in my experience.

This....

And to the OP: there was really never much "discussion" anyway....just a bunch of whining and complaining from what I've seen. Though there is the occasional thread where there is actual constructive discussion, it will always be buried under the overwhelming amount of hate being spewed

There is not much left to discuss anymore.
The ending debacle is over, Bioware is like uber secret with Omega, which i think is not really smart, everything story related in ME3 was talked to death, the people wanting more ME2 characters screamed for months and we are getting kinda tired, the romance forum is closed which really sucks etc.
All in all, there isn't much to discuss now. Hopefully Bioware will soon give some info on Omega to revive this.

New DLC and even ME4 isn't renewing interest.

It will come back once we have some real news on the coming dlcs and the new ME game. For now it is all about the ending complaints and trolling. I usually come here once or twice a day for news, but it is also nice to post or debate here (with a few exceptions).

Personally I stopped posting here regularly after the place was overrun with ending trolls. The BSN started dying when Herd The Line poisoned it.

Well ME3 is the first game iv'e spent more time on the forum for it than the game itself, im not on here as much now as novelty has wore off and trilogy is done with nothing else to be discussed.......also theres not many games im into just yet to take my spare time away from here.

True, the wish fulfillment kiddies' butthurt over not being able to fulfill their romance fantasy with space waifu/manfu made this place more boring(although it was fun to see in certain cases...).

That's a very healthy approach.  I pretend the Matrix II and III don't exist and I feel much happier as a result.  More power to people who enjoyed them, I'm glad the films are doing some good out there somewhere, but in order for there to be net happiness for the human race I personally have to ignore them.

That is a very unfair generalization.  If we can all agree on one thing I think it would be that the ME3 ending is one of the most diversely received endings in the history of endings.  Some people like it some people hate it, and the ones who like it and hate it all feel that way for a myriad of different reasons.  I've seen all sorts listed on the forums here and heard all sorts from people I talk to in person.

Nope,if these ending haters had any shred of credibility beyond their romance/wish fulfillment they'd be attacking the abysmal game mechanics like fake choices and uber linearirty and the rest of the derp of the story that was present from the get-go just as fiercely.

That these people thought BW could "fix the ending" as if it was something that existed in a vacuum speaks volumes.

still generalising, I found most of mass effect 3 was criticised by most people, the ending as it was is considered unacceptable by any standards, all the other features you described what the bare minimium  and they got away with it

Funny, comments like "the game was awesome until the last 10 minutes!" and "my choices didn't matter at the end!'(as if they EVER mattered to begin with) sure fooled me.

:D Quite an ugly way to put it but kind of right... :D Though it's not entirely true for everyone who has problems with the ending of the game or the game itself.

Not only healthy, but a mature and intelligent approach. You don't like it: you move on - you like it: happy days. This is how it goes normally.

The ME trilogy gives you the illusion fo choices but not real choices and consequences. It's not only the third game, it was like this from day one.

There's no announced ME game, and only a half-announced Dragon Age game.  No major releases coming up for a year.  Not surprising activity is low.

I don't know if anyone has already said it, but I should point out that not the whole of BSN is dying. The multiplayer forum, for example, is a live and well.

All the threads are the same.. All discussions, no matter where they start always end in. "Ending sucks". "Starbrat". "Hale vs Meer" or something else that has been discussed at length

What exactly happened? I want to discuss some things there a week ago and saw it was closed.

The Miranda fans had a civil war in which they split into two groups, with a splinter thread and everything. Priestly got all pissed over the fighting and shut the whole section down.

Seriously? Oh Lord :pinched: Figures, honestly. I visted that thread a few times but it was just not for me. I never get that attached to fictional characters.

As for the puprose of THIS thread, I personally don't post much because while it's slowed down, it's still more of the same: talk of the endings, how evil and rape-y synthesis is, etc. I still check out the forum to see if there's any new info about DLC and such, but I have pretty much turned my attention to the DA3 forums.
