Character

So, I haven't done much research on this, but it seems that if you want to add sound sets to new creatures, you need to assign a Character to it (which includes a sound set). One problem is that the core characters don't contain what I want, sound set wise.

So, I decided to create a new Character file, and assign the sound set I wanted (i.e. ss_g_male_high_1). However, I am running into a problem when trying to export it. Here's the log:

S: 21:58:08 - Starting export: "Export without dependent resources"

************************************

Does anyone know what this error means, or more importantly, has anyone successfully exported new Character files yet?

Thanks.

I still haven't had much luck with this. Has anyone else been able to do this yet?

Thanks.

How are you exporting it? with or without dependants?

I don't think you actually need to export these. It think the character is just a clunky way to add developer info to a sound set so it can be used on a creature. I think when you export a creature it just looks up whatever sound it needs through the character object. Outside of that, I don't think anything else in the character gets used for anything in-game so there is nothing to export.
