I do not wish to discuss the value of Dragoons per se, I just wanted to ask if anyone else had the same impression as me: specifically, if it seems to you that Dragoons have a WAY shorter stomp (i.e. execute the fallen) timer than all other units.

More than once I got downed by a Dragoon and got executed before I even had time to reach for the 7 key (I play on PC), the sequence was smash-dead-stomp in less than 2 seconds.

They definitely have a way shorter stomp.

 They do like to stomp. But I've not had the lightning fast stomp myself.

IMO they should at least give you enough time to register you have been killed and decide to medigel without having to develop some kind of palovian reflex tied to the Gel key...

Haven't noticed that. I've actually had Dragoons down me, ignore me and let Assault Troopers attempt to stomp me.

Actually, I've had instances where the bad camera meant I couldn't see properly and I got stomped without realising. By a dragoon of course, it was so fast.

I've noticed it, too. They're super-aggressive (to be honest, I love that about them) and if someone's down: They're gonna stomp 'em quicker than Abraham Lincoln kills a vampire (I haven't seen the movie, but I assume in at least one scene, one dies in less than two seconds).
