When attempting to join a couple of my friends games (consistantly the same two, all others are fine) I get stuck on "Joining game" right after you select the charcter you want to join on. It just stays saying "Joining game" and never accually joins. They have the same problem when I'm hosting and they try to join.
Getting a mutual friend to host, then both of us joining them works fine and we are able to play.
Anyone know the cause of this, or anyway to resolve the problem?
And is it a common problem?

I get this more than often. So, yes it's too damn common. I believe it's something to do with routers, but being at college, I have no access to any routers here unless I want to buy my own. Which I don't, because 100+$ to play with a few select people is ridiculous.

I get this issue too, I think it has to be router/firewall settings being too strict.
It's weird, though, I get the issue even after making the proper exceptions, forwarding the right ports, and even while DMZ is enabled.

The weird thing is, if i let the loading screen bee for long time enough and dont ALT+F4 the game, then i get kicked. So i see only the loading screen, but for others i am not ready in lobby, or just standing on landing pad.

its to do wiht how you connect to the host, when you start mp your conected to one of 3 cloud servers, when you search for a game you will get dumped into the nearest least congested server (in theory at least) however the migration system is problematic to say the least
the settings at your end are only 1/3rd of the equasion, the settings of the people your trying to join in game play will aslo be a factor as will the congestion /syncro stability of the server(s).

It's probably because when it happens, you're in the game, but you're also not. So you're probably getting kicked for supposedly being AFK even though you aren't completely in the server.
At some point I'll probably call up my ISP and ask about this issue (I get it with other peer-to-peer games too, I can't connect to some people, while others are fine). I'll try to remember to post back in this thread if I manage to get it sorted out.

only few times when I clicked "join" I didn't have this problem
whenever that happens (stuck on Joining) I have to Alt F4 to kill the game and then Join works
it takes long time with all those connecting loading connecting loading stuff but once I join everything works fine (as long host stays same)
