With that logic, the game would be optimally balanced if there were no successful Platinum games, ever.lfc19titles wrote...

Why complain about things being "op" in a pure co-op game at all?
That makes only sense if something is really gamebreaking, not because some kid isn't 1st on the scoreboard.
It is gamebreaking
Consider that 100 plat games per day are successful (random number)
with this nerf, that would be reduced but a decent amount, it must be done to balance the game

-50% shields for a small dmg increase isn't overpowered.

But the passive is also tied to the GE yet another problem. I don't see a real solution to the GI problem or the stim pack one. Lets hope for the next one they keep all the classes ini files separated. I know it would take more space but would make balancing easier. But you never know the Fagnan may have a trick or two up his sleeve.

As much as the GI is OP... I really don't see them at ANY level of play, unless it's myself or my friends using it. All the randoms are using the Earth classes... especially the Destroyer/Demolisher.
Using the GI takes some small degree of skill to prevent dying alot... not much... but a little...
My 10 year old son plays the GI like a boss on any difficulty (so it can't be that hard can it?).... he also got the 25 melee kills medal with a Volus Adept... seriously. Mofuggerx was there to witness it..

Because for example, if those two classes did not exist, less matches would be completed, the only reason so many are done is because those 2 are OP
You don't have to be a sklilled gamer with the ghost, plat was meant to be the ultimate test, instead you have 2 classes making the level easier
a little nerf to both to get them down to the same level as other classes would balance it, if people can still do plat with the nerf, then fair do, they deserve it
but not with mad OP classes

either way they could just lower the final evo of the TGI TC buff to 10-15% instead of 25% or shorten the buff duration from 10 sec to 5 sec.

Its all this crying about stuff being OP that is ruining this game.
It a bleedin CoOp game people, I wonder if any of you know what that means.
So someone else is able to kill stuff quicker than your fave class, guess what... Thats a good thing.
Them killing them means you didn't need to and more importantly, it didn't get the chance to kill you.
Get over it. No matter what some things will always kill quicker, thats just the way it is.
Nerfing either the GI or TI will hurt other classes. Do any of you even think of that?
Did you ever think that having a GI or a TI in every game hurts other classes? It makes them obsolete... on Gold anyway.
So the whole game should be balanced around Gold/Plat players?
Most players don't play those difficulties. Your point is irelivent anyway. Other classes are not "obsolete", not every class has to be a death dealing machine. Each class fills a different role on the field, which is as it should be.
Get over yourself...

Every character in the game is supposed to be a death dealing machine except the Volus... knucklehead... other than them there are no support classes in ME3 MP.

I think the reason we don't see many GI's is because of that eye-raping overlay. Which I'm pretty sure wasn't made with the intention of causing real pain to the viewer. But if the overlay doesn't bother you, then I don't see why it's not... more powerful than any other DPS character. People call it a glass cannon but I die as much if not more with pre-nerf destroyer than I do with GI. It can take less damage but it also has fantastic mobility and can see 95% of the surprise attacks that take down other kits.
The eye rape isn't bad on a big TV...
I don't die with a GI very much either... b/c you can see everything coming... situational awareness is more powerful than any damage boost IMO.

Situational awareness coupled with a ppr x is win all around. Op is still a huge idiot regardless.
